"The latest discoveries include a solar system of three planets orbiting the sunlike star HD 40307 about 42 light-years away."

They were just there! 42 light-years away towards the southern Doradus and Pictor constellations.:)

Are those older or younger solar systems, may determine if they're HD compatible yet...

Why call them super-earths? Earth is the super-earth to me.
:)
Far-earths? Far-far-earths? Farther-earths? Distant-earths? Cousin-earths? No-you-can't-get-there-earths? In-your-dreams-earths?

They are super because they are about 4 times as massive as Earth, although I, also, think they are mostly super-Mercurys.

Is superman obese? No, not at all but with additional qualities like charity.

Earth is the super-earth because it is the superior habitat for us..(I know it as I have designed habitats for space travellers.)

There is no place like home.

They only call them "earths" because they are rocky and not gas giants... you're right though, they are probably without atmosphere and broiling hot.

More brains!, we need more brains! It helps to take away the pain. What movie did that come from?
Being so smart is making you dumber then dumbest. Why don't you pick some place where we can actually get to to prove you wrong. Like the moon perhaps. The dark side in never seen in the light from earth, worth checking it out and maybe we'll see the other half of the Apollo lunar and flag left there.
