I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. My RA doc recommended I start taking vit D supplements daily. None of the meds I was ever given have helped my pain and inflammation levels as much as 1000 mg of vitamin D and 2 tablespoons of Omega 3 fatty acids daily. It has been an almost miraculous reduction of flare ups and pain. In researching the benefits and risks of supplements I have discovered the 2 types of vitamin D available in this country Vit D3 and vit D as Cholecalciferol have very different effects. Vit D 3 is the formulation used in most supplements and in dairy. It has been associated with increase in inflammatory response. It is the Vitamin D as Cholecalciferol which has the opposite effect. Vitamin D is very inexpensive unlike most supplements and I would recommend it to anyone. And i recommend to all that the sun is not the enemy we have been led to believe. Get out in the sun and feel the motochondrial factories in your cells activate.

I have been diagnosed with fibro as well as as RA and chronic inflammatory disease which is a death sentence. Vitamin D and Omega 3 fatty acids have improved my inflammation and pain levels more than any medication I have ever tried.

It seems that the best source of Vitamin D is from the sun, 20 minutes a day is all you need. It is amazing to me that the sunscreen industry and dermotologists won't just fess up that the sun is actually good for you. So, instead they promote putting fear into everyone's mind about the sun being bad for you and look what has happened. An epidemic in Vitamin D deficiency, rickets are returning, preclampsia, breast and colon cancers are on the rise and continue. You are more likely to get cancer from sunscreen getting into your bloodstream and then your organs then from the sun.
So, stop slathering chemical sunscreen on your bodies, enjoy the sun in moderation, avoid sunburn and enjoy the healthy benefits of the real source of Vitamin D, 20 minutes a day in the SUN!
what about people who have skin disorders such as lupus, which people cannot be in the sun and you must wear sunscreen everyday?

I think that just because they can correlate low vitamin d with a disease does not mean supplementing with a vitamin is going to fix the cause of the problem.

why do some people that live similar lives get these diseases and some do not. even those related.

the people suffering fibro myalgia should look at this site www.marshallprotocol.com .

i have been on this protocol for sarcoidosis , and had low levels of vitamin d .

diseases use vitamin d to shut of your immune system as vitamin d works as a immuno suppressent.

to all those with serious illnesses .. please do your self a favor and look into it..

the choice of your health is yours .

i made mine and got better.. this is not a scam site .. i was treated by a physician in my country .. and i am a member of a support group al that have used this to get better ..

vitamin d is a good vitamin in those that are well..

for those suffering auto immune disease it is not.
