The likely debut of a 17-year-old Russian driver next year is also highly unusual.
We can almost hear the 'team orders' from putin already.
"I was with him (putin) in Moscow three times," said the 82-year-old F1 boss. "He is very enthusiastic and helpful, which will benefit the whole of F1."
Stand by for ANOTHER ecclestone money-related indictment in a couple of years.
