It's sad, he's a great driver and I'm sorry to see him be demoted to Super Aguri.
He proved how good he is at Ferrari.
I think he made a bad decision moving to Honda, and being a typical emotional Brazilian, I'm sure he's feeling down, frustrated, and not very encouraged to give it 110%.
I hate to see him finish his carreer like this, and this is the kiss of death for him in F1.
I don't think there is a more ruthless sport out there.

Well he's 35 now and Jenson has been blowing in away in equal equipment. I like Rubens but I think it's time he hangs it up in F1. Even his own team is starting to question his ability

Indeed I like Barichello, however despite being one of the nicest and most experienced drivers on the grid, I think it is perhaps time he followed Michael Schumachers step into retirement. However I would like to see him stick around and work for a team eventually.

Out of interest, where did you hear of this possible demotion? I can not find anything. Who would take his place at Honda number 1 team? Davidson is surely worthy of a promotion.

Button became Mutton a long time ago. Alonso is the Zonzo that gonna beat the Prancing Ponies. He likes to beat the little cute sweet ponies in red dresses. Sorry Bob, could not resist !!!

You are taking it for granted that those wee beasties are ponies, and not in fact great powerful stallions. One good thing Alonzo can look forward to if he does go to Honda is working with a great like Ross Braun. It might just prove to be an interesting mix, in a good way of course.

I an hopeful that by the 9th he would have signed for somebody. Ross Braun helped Schumacher win 7 titles and I would love it but I do not expect this to happen. It makes perfect sense to go to Honda. The progress will be quick and fast.

Siraj, Ross is quite brilliant, I think he will definitely turn Honda back to competitive ways, maybe not winning ways, but we will certainly see them on the podium a few times this year. In fact balls to the wall now, I reckon Honda will emerge in the next few years, with Ross and the right team behind him and I include Alonso in that, as a better team than the SAuber BMW. You see my Crystal ball is working again.

Hey Bob, I always seem to be left with questions. Strange habit.I can't understand why the Ferrari management discarded Jean Todd...and did not take Ross back? After all their success together? Money? Politics? Why did Ross and Schumacher leave in the same year? Don't mind me Bob, I am just burping?

No it was no secret that neither Todt or Brawn wanted MS to retire, part of the reitement was forced on MS by Luca de Montezemollo, wanting to sign kimi. MS looked at it from the angle that he might have a season left, and ferrari would lose Kimi if he did not go, and anyway he was really getting to the end of his fantastic career. As a result Ross took the sabatical, Todt wanted to go as well, but Montezemollo made Todt CEO of the entire company to keep him there while they put together a new heirarchy, and now that it is in place, Todt was happy to walk away. Certainly the possible thought behind Ross's wait and see attitude was to see if ferrari would be good to go without the dream team, and they proved they are for now. While Ross returning would have been fantastic for ferrari, Ross also needs a new challenge, and what better that a shot a Honda. But there was no skullduggery in the whole thing, it was a carefully planned handing over of power from the last gyard to the new guns, and from here on out we might see a very different ferrari team, more adventurous and aggressive possibly as the new management team stamp their authority in F1. They have been left a legacy, but be assured Todt and Schumie will always be around to offer advice and lend a helping hand when needed, as we have already seen with MS and his testing runs.

Hey Bob, I did not know any of the above. It all makes sense. I hate to always compliment you, respect you for the things you say about your little pretty Prancing Ponies but what I can do? Since you answered my question, you can now also wear your Schumi Helmet to Church at Christmas as well. I think that this will help your wife wanting to sit anywhere but next to you. Please Bob, take pictures of this ..okay?

Ah Siraj, it all does look very impressive whilst driving the red beauty I must say, but the helmet is a no no in church...the Americans are a little nervous of helmeted individuals in public places. I tried wearing it once when I went into the bank....spent 4 hrs in the county jail trying to explain that I just forgot to take it off. What a Dumbass I turned out to be. But what can I say it's great for fancy dress parties, when asked who I am the standard reply is normally...Michael Who?
