We don't have Renault vehicles running around here these days. Memories of the distant past cause me to see this as a clunkers-for-clunkers program or rather cash for newer clunkers.

PS. That idea of the paper mache fenders and body panels on the Lada cars is very interesting. They could be very light or very heavy if they are glued together with epoxy resin. You don't see Russia exporting vehicles to the West.
