F1: Alonso 'better' for Ferrari than Raikkonen - boss

There are 392 comments on the Motorsport.com story from Dec 9, 2009, titled F1: Alonso 'better' for Ferrari than Raikkonen - boss. In it, Motorsport.com reports that:

Fernando Alonso is arriving at Ferrari because the famous Italian team needs a race driver in the Michael Schumacher-mould. That is the admission of team boss Stefano Domenicali, as he contemplates Ferrari's 2010 season after deciding to replace the rally-bound Kimi Raikkonen with Spaniard Alonso.

The last driver who you could say was clearly dominant and the best among his peers IMO was Ayrton Senna, and the Whiner Fernando Alonso isn't in that class.
Who then you ask?.....I would agree with Autosport's Mark Hughes, who recently put out his list of the top 10 drivers for 2010.....take a look..!!
http://www.autosport.com/features/article.php...
As you usual .. no names .. see?, there must be 1 driver better than the rest. I say Alonso ..you say he is not .. then .. who?

So?, don't say Alonso is not if you don't bet on any other .. that's trolling !!!

By the way, I'm not subscribed to Autosport, so I can't see Mark Hughes's list of his best 2010 drivers. Anyway .. it doesn't answer my question as to WHO IS THE BEST OF THE GRID and not on just on one year !

Hey HMLTN-1 aka Lawrence or whatever your real name is ... Give me a driver.. YOUR driver .. THE BEST OF THEM ALL and not based on just one year or points achieved but because he's simple the best of the current F1 ACTIVE drivers IN YOUR OPINION (and with this we will both be able to compare our choices in the future ahead and on their past achievements)!!!

Up until now it has been so easy for you and the ones like you to say Alonso is not the best .. but never give the one who is ...

If you don't give me a name I'll write you down in my list of cowards below Redneck Bob from Atlanta and Angry Jamaican .. who never gave me a name and neither bet on any driver to win the WC until the season ended !!!

Season 2010 best driver(s) was Niko Rosberg or Robert Kubica, not Fernando Alonso......If Niko or Kubica had drove Ferrari they would won the championship allready in Monza at least and also they don't need gift wins like Alonso.

Precisely my point - contrary to what RNB states, one does not need to like Alonso personally to acknowledge that he has done a good job. And when someone like Eau Rouge says things like "Alonso is just a pay driver" or "he is not that good", he just shows his total lack of knowledge about this sport.
What you don't understand in my position, Icegirl, is that while I have always said that Alonso is, in my opinion, the best driver in the current grid, I have never said that he is a saint. As a matter of fact, at a personal level Alonso and I have very different ideas, and I am fully aware of certain defects that he has - but what he is not is the villain that certain British press has presented to those who believed in what said press said. As a matter of fact, Alonso's defects are several but none of the ones that are usually discussed in forums by poeple who have received totally biased information.
I defend Alonso when he is being unfairly attacked, in the same way that I defended Raikkonen when he was unfairly attacked in the past. Neither of them is perfect, but they are much better than what their detractors want to make them look like.
And I never felt the need to attack one of them to defend the other - I consider that a cheap last resort. That is what Turrini does in the belief that by doing so he pleases the people who follow him (Raikkonen and Schumacher followers, as per his definitions in his blog), and that is why I dislike him. I have never found any insight of what is going on in F1 when reading his blog, only a number of subjective comments and even made-up dialogues that portray a caricature of people to make them look like he thinks they are (or wishes they were), and not like they really are. To my surprise, I read that he does not cover F1 for any neswpaper - he covers football. If this information is correct, then he does not follow the F1 circus from track to track, he has no first-hand, on-the-ground information. Yet he pontificates about the sport. Which heavy things did Alonso say about Ferrari, apart from wishing Renault good luck "as long as the car is not red" on the team radio when he won at Interlagos in 2006? Because taking into account the circumstances, that was not that terrible. How does he know that Alonso was the mastermind behind Singapore 2008? Yet he has no qualms in stating that as a fact, and not as a personal belief. Alonso involved in Spygate? Surely you know that the two mail exchanges (yes, two) that were presented to the WMSC were written prior to McLaren receiving the infamous 780-pages dossier, that there was never any proof that Alonso had any knowledge of that dossier, that a number of mails exchanged among McLaren engineers that made explicit reference to "our mole in Ferrari" were discovered too, and that all teams acknowledge that they try to find out what is going on in other teams and that information flows with a surprising ease. Yet some people want to make us believe that "Spygate" was something organised by Coughlan, Stepney, De la Rosa and Alonso for the exclusive benefit of the latter.

from where I stand trolling is also when you blindly follow some fool who has been shown up for the last 4 yrs to not be the best at anything, except maybe for being a crybaby and a lying cheat, and when don't accept the criticism and proof of it all that is so blatantly out there for all to see. Really Luisa you need to get with it, this absolute fanaticism you have for the Spanish git is making you look more and more like a dumbass as each year passes
