OF COURSE he should have gotten something for it - no matter WHO you're driving for, or WHO tells you to do it, you DON'T go out there and throw a crash!
Like every other sport, there are whistleblowing procedures and protections in-place for situations like this. It'll nail the team, or personnel in it, and there'll be a lot of publicity, but you would have come out of it as a stand-up guy.
BUT, now YOU'VE got it in YOUR 'public record'(what the racing public will always remember about you) that YOU threw a crash because YOU were "just following orders".
WHO'S going to take you seriously after THAT?
Well, actually, take you seriously AFTER that rant you did and THEN revealing it to TOTALLY f**k yourself up.
