I think Alonso has some questions to answer regarding the scandal as well. He might not have been the mastermind behind this, however, as a senior Renault F1 driver he probably had some influence. Just my opinion...

Mosley, Bernie, the FIA and even the stewards have all interviewed and questioned Alonso and found that he truly is innocent. Piquet Sr is just a ruthless scum that not only has tarnished the sport, but his sons future and also his own past aswell. Hes nothing but scum..

That is really what makes us different, many of us think otherwise Piquet Sr is bold and brave when he have the courage to display this kind of unfairness. And I´m pretty sure that FA knew all about it, he is maybe crook, but not an idiot... well, if he didn´t knew, he have to to be an idiot.

The engineers didn't know either and it wasn't necessary for Alonso to know for him to win! Go join the Piquet Snr scumbag fan club you loser.

So you claim "I´m pretty sure that FA knew all about it" really?? wow prove it!! you and Piquets will be best friends forever!!(bff) lol

hey looky here!! some facts!!

Piquet Snr also moved to clarify media headlines that suggested he had accused Fernando Alonso of also being involved in the crash conspiracy.

"All I said was that an intelligent driver like Alonso would ask questions if his team told him to come in to pit after 12 laps from fifteenth on the grid.

"As a driver I would have suspected something, so I can imagine only with difficulty that Fernando didn't know anything," he added.

in the end Piquet Sr is SPECULATING!!! what a stupid jelous sorry excuse for a 3 time champ! what kind of person would put Alonsos name out there without proving it? Maybe hes jelous? Just goes to show you AGAIN what kind of person this is.. He shouldnt put Alonsos into this unless he can prove it. Alonso is innocent! Read to the Radio transcripts then tell me whos to blame..-Symonds (surprisingly) & Briatore

Piquet JR is the one with egg all over his face for actually going thru with it. He could have handled it differently..

How come you drag a person into the mud like Piquet Sr based on "I would have suspected something" ?????...

First you have to prove there was a plan to make Pique Jr crash ... and then prove that Alonso knew about it .. and agreed !!!!!

How about the rest of the 17 times when Piquet crashed or spinned ???

I wonder who wants to have Alonso accused or banned ??... someone competing for a place in Ferrari?... someone who speaks the same language as the Piquets ???... someone already mentioned at the start of all this ???... let's keep speculating ... come on !!!!!

Sorry ... but I don't see the plan !!!

Changing strategies on the fly is common in F1 ... more in that case where Alonso was approaching traffic (Nakajima).

.....An unnamed engineer asks a few minutes later: "Pat, do you still not think that this is a bit too early? We only did six tenths that lap."

Symonds replies: "No, no it's going to be all right." (becuase he knew it was coming -Alonso420)

"OK, OK, understood," the engineer says.

After Alonso's pit stop, Symonds says to the engineer: "OK right, you've got to push him really bloody hard now. If he [Piquet] doesn't get past Barrichello, he's going nowhere, he's got to get past Barrichello this lap."

Briatore then gets involved, saying: "Tell him, push."

Piquet's race engineer tells his driver: "Nelson, no excuses now, you've got to get past Barrichello. You've got four clicks straight-line advantage. Come on, you've got to push now, you must get past him."

A short time later, the Times reports, Piquet crashes at turn 17, the place at which the driver claims he was told to crash before the race.

it does seem very suspicious but at the same time.. all you can do is speculate.. the reason why i say Symonds is becuase hes the brain that can figure in the advantage he would have after everything sorts out.

"In the statement, Piquet explained how he had crashed. "After ensuring I was on the designated lap of the race, I deliberately lost control of my car" on the exit to turn 17, the second part of a right-left chicane. "I did this by pressing hard and early on the throttle. As I felt the back end of the car drifting out, I continued to press hard on the throttle, in the knowledge that this would lead to my car making heavy contact with the concrete wall ...""

Any normal human being has a "survival instinct" who would avoid something like that !!... when they crashed is because they can not avoid it !!!... my opinion !!

So where is this "interview" you claim to use as fact? I have searched and found nada. You are biased towards Fatass Alonso and in the past you let your opinions cloud facts.

If you read it thinking the whole thing is true you may think you found something ... but not for me .. they are asking him to overtake Barrichello and push ... and in the heat of the momment you are not going to get involved in a strategy discussion with your engineer who finally accept whatever the boss says ... even if he's just betting or guessing ... After the crash they didn't know where Alonso was. Also, what happened with the fuel rig ?... maybe they wanted to play it safe and that's why they changed their minds ...

sure ill give you a taste.. you can find the rest..it only took me 2 minutes to find this by the way.. and im at work :P

Contradicting Piquet Sr. was, however, the very FIA president Max Mosley, who insisted that the ruling body has no proof whatsoever of Alonso's involvement in the whole scandal. More, as revealed by F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone himself, the man everybody in the Piquet family seems to be after at the moment is solely Flavio Briatore.

monty I feel ya buddy.. i just look at it from both perspectives.. from Piquets JRs and Renualts.. and after seeing Briatores and Symonds actions it only makes me believe that infact they planned something.. maybe the "push" thing is the signal? thats kinda how im taking it..(i wish it were not true though!!)

heres one more David,

Q. Are you of the belief that Fernando Alonso is an innocent party in all this, and that he was not aware of what was going on?

Max Mosley: We have no evidence to suggest that Alonso knew what was going on.
