Fernando Alonso: New Ferrari Is Best Car I've Ever Driven

Feb 22, 2010 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: BleacherReport

Fernando Alonso issued a stark warning to rivals on Saturday by claiming Ferrari's F10 is the "best car I've ever had". The '05 and '06 world champion told Spanish media that the new car, designed to bring the team back to their winning ways, will be a championship contender in 2010.

This is the year to be a Ferrari driver. After what was a very poor year for the Ferrari team, there was no doubt they would be going to any extreme to improve their position in this most technical and demanding sport.

What am I going to do? I've been a Ferrari supporter for years but now Michael's back and I was a Michael supporter for years. I want Felipe to do well and I think Alonso at Ferrari will be good. I'm also interested in how Bruno Senna will turn out, having been a past worshipper of Ayrton.

I guess the Ferrari is living up to Nando's expectations..

..Could this be a declaration from Nando that he'll dominate this years championship..

..Will Schumi be able to stop the Prancing Ponies dead in their tracks..

..What about Button, will he be competetive enough to be in the championship duel..

..Will this be Hami's long awaited opportunity to show his supreme driving prowess..

Time will tell..

This has been the championship I have longed for..since Schumi's retirement..

The master is back !!

What he said Bobby boy, is that the Ferrari is the best car he has ever had. What you expect and dream up in your prejudiced mind is unimportant. I see you have gone cold on the The Ferrari Prancing Pansys, since there is nothing coming out of you in praise of the "greatest team" in Formula One. Who would want to be you Bob? Love the team ,hate the best driver in F1, but has lost his Ferrai anthem all because you know your God Schumi is gonna get beat by the team you worship. Fun for me, Bob. This is fun.

hey Gabe, what's up? nice to hear from you. Here's the score .. sold the 328, bought a CLK, screw the prancers and Alonso, Schumie is the king ...... ha ha ha just kidding .... Gabe, Ferrari and Massa have my full support, but I'm struggling to find it in my heart to even contemplate celebrating Alonso in a Pony. I look forward to the season though, and the excuses Alonso is going to come out with when the Cabana boy kicks his Spanish ass into submission .... But I will most certainly celebrate if Schumie wins a race, it will be brilliant to see ... let's hope that before he hangs it all up again, he will have hit the 3 figure number for wins .... that will be a great moment.

Hey dumbass, it's all old news to us real Ferrari fans. Every driver who has pitched up at Maranello's front gates has said the same thing. Sadly Ferrari seperates the men form the boys, just ask Kimi, so it's all "vuur en vlam" to start cowboy, but so many came with stars in their eyes and left with tears. So it's not news to us real Ferrari fans. For blokes like you, it's a novelty, because it's the first time you actually get to cheer for a decent car. So save your excitement, let's see what happens in the races, as for Alonso saying it's the best car he's ever driven ... well duh dude, it's a freaking Ferrari ... of course it's the best car ... whether it's a Dino, an Enzo or a 328

Best compliment to FA came from this Webber interview:

http://www.formula1.com/news/interviews/2010/...

"....
Q: What do you think about Fernando Alonso driving for Ferrari?

MW: He is getting too old! He's slowing down…no, the red car suits him. He's the perfect Ferrari driver. He's exactly what they need - he's a passionate, fiery, but fair racer. It's good for the sport to have Fernando in a red car. I wish him the best, but not too much, because we want to beat him. It is absolutely right that he is in a red car. All the Spanish fans are so excited about it.

Chew on this one Worshitters .... seems El Torro is starting to show his true colours again .....

... "Fernando Alonso came out with one of the flakiest revisionist quotes of F1 history this week. Talking about his time at McLaren in 2007 and his role in Spygate he said, "With the spy history I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But I was very happy to help the FIA discover everything." Let's get this in perspective. Alonso was only happy to go to the FIA because Ron Dennis wouldn't give him No.1 status in the team above Lewis Hamilton. Had Ron said, "all right then Fernando, you can be No.1" then we wouldn't have heard a thing. It's only because he blew his cool at the Hungaroring that his part in the saga ever came out"...

Monty....it's laughable.....laughable when Fernando said, " I was happy to help the FIA discover everything ". This is a clear example of lying by Alonso. The only reason that Fernando was as he said very happy to help was, because he was being warned by the FIA. A letter that was sent to the drivers by the FIA offered, " the assurance that any information made availabe in response to the letter would not result in any proceedings against the driver personally under the FIA regulations. However, the drivers were notified that if it later came to light that they had potentially relevant information, serious consequences could follow ".

So it wasn't because of a sense of honor on his part that 6/10ths was willing to help. The reason why Alonso provided the information requested, was in exchange for immunity to save his own.....ASS..!!
