i hope Dennis is not blind. what a bad choice for McLaren to choose Kovalainen. it is so ridiculous. he is still an inexperience driver as you can see from his performance at Renault. it would be better off for McLaren to bring Ralf Schumacher into their super car for 2008. can't you see, he(Ralf) is a better driver and more capable of winning trophies? i think all the McLaren fans will be very upset to see poor Hamilton battling the race alone this season. this guy (Kovalainen) got no speed of Hakkinen nor Raikkonen. That's why i think he is not qualified to drive for McLaren. im very disappointed and not looking forward to this new season's race. im sure it will be a heart breaking season again...*sigh*

if Kovalainen is not in top 6 for the first three races, i think Dennis should regret and quickly bring in Ralf to replace Kovalainen. if not...you will see "Ferraris" shutting Hamilton down again..."Wake up Ron!""Wake up!!!"
Save McLaren!!!

How little do you know. I wouldn't call Kovalainen inexperienced, for example Heikki has 4 years of experience driving F1-car and Lewis has only 2. Heikki would also be a GP2 champ without the difficulties Arden had at the end of 2005 season. Sure he is not as experienced as Ralf, but I don't think Ralf has the motivation or the speed to compete in the top of F1.

And about Heikki's performance in Renault, he did beat his team mate in the championship points 30-21 which is quite a lot, and improved his performance throughout the season.

Mclaren made the best choice to have Heikki Kovalainen to partner Lewis Hamilton. Aa a huge fan of Lewis Hamilton, Heikki will push Lewis and at times possibly beat him, which can only mean one thing great racing. To say, Kovalainen has no speed, granted he doesn't have the speed fo a Raikkonen yet is valid, remember the Renault is not a Ferrari, but no speed is completely wrong. I think we could all agree driving in the pouring rain is one of the most difficult challanges any F1 driver can face. During the Japanese G.P.,Kovalainen drove brilliantly in the pouring rain to beat back the atacks of the driver , who most drivers don't want stalking them....Kimi Raikkonen. This performance by a rookie in only his 15th Grand Prix, against a veteran with over 100 Grand Prix's can only be described as spectaculor. Mclaren picked the perfect candidate to partner Lewis.
