Indeed a beautiful surprise for the champ Mr. Alonso...he well deserved it pushing the limits of a poor Ferrari and lucky enough to escape the faster Sauber. But seriously, it's now the turn of Ferrari mechanics & designers to turn things around and surprise both Alonso & Massa with a faster car that is drivable to compete with the top 5 teams. Congratulations to Perez who managed 2nd place & who was the fastest on each lap.

No question Monty.......outstanding performance by 6/10ths, to a well deserved win, which he was able to do, even though he had too put up with driving a truck......Congratulations..!!

Thank you, friend!

I don't ask for a race winning car, I just ask for one able to pass through Q2 without risking me a heart attack !

It seems McLaren has the edge at this time of the year and consistency will be the key. Hope Lewis stays this way and understands that 3rd is not always bad news !

Well you won't see "Nolonso" winning often this season and by the way Kimi had the fastest lap of the race. And one more thing i have always wonder you Nolonso fans out there who says that Nolonso is good car developer that's just Bullsh*t look what has happen to ferrari on that time what Nolonso has been on the team .....yup guys..... ferrari has gone top to bottom no champions no paredes. I think ferrari has too much weight on it and it locates between driver's seat and the wheel ....yeah its Nolonso's big EGO which has gone to his head BIG TIME.

Seriously... do you understand the difference between a car developer and a car designer ???... Alonso is just a driver and has shown how far he can take the equipment at hand !!!... you don't want to see it because your hate blinds you and maybe you're still bleeding for the ejection of poor Kimi from Ferrari and his failure rallying !!

Yeah i know the different.... do you know it??? Well Montaya4ever next time when Ferrari gets it's sh*t together remember it was thanks to the desingers not Nolonso (Well after today's news it will be thanks to Saubers designers LOOL.....tells everything about ferraris despair) because you just say it yourself its in ferrari's desingers not Nolonso goodness. You are just like your BIG idol it's always somebody else's fault not MINE if something is wrong (Need to remind you season 2010 final race .....LOOL that was embarrassing for Nolonso could not over take Vitaly omg). Look what Kimi has made in Lotus in few months....yeah i think so too that actions speak on behalf of Kimi. Do i need to remind you he was gone two years and still he is going to kick Nolonsos ass hands down. Ouh and here's something REALLY good reading to you before you go bed.

Well, it seems you still don't see the difference and because of that, and your hate, you don't appreciate the real greatness of Alonso.

Overtaking Petrov where?, in Imola?, Germany or England?...ha ha ha ...noooo in Abu Dhabi with the old tyres and rules ... ha ha. Don't worry ...keep it up ... go Kimi go ... maybe they will hand him another WC !!

Have a good season !

Kimi is pure talent...he's animal race driver....Nolonso NAAAAH. You guys can jump for joy for Nolonso's LUCKY win it will not happen much often at this season..(maybe not ever). Also you guys can fight for pole positions, Kimi can win the race if he starts 11th place.

How embarrasing would it be if Kimi won the WC or WDC?

More embarrassing than for example Kimi winning in Monza and LdM handing him the trophy? That could well happen, lol.

take a wild guess...It obvious the Renault is probably the fastest at the moment...don't embarrass your self

Based upon all the claims that have been presented during the last years it's not the car that makes a difference, it's the driver.

And we all know who the 'best' driver out there is, not to mention the best car developer.

There is no such a thing as embarrasement in F1 as it is not an exact science and almost anything can happen in a race !!!(my opinion)...it is up to each one to feel embarrass or not about the outcome of a race or your individual performance !

I could say Kimi should feel embarrass by returning to F1 and by saying he doesn't like a lot of things about it but yet he comes back .. but hey ...who am I to tell it !

Strategy, team, car and driver ...plus a litte bit of luck are all in there and when everything align together then you win !...the rest is for us, the fans, to make stories and discussions about it !!...and enjoy it !!

...again..my opinion !

So according to the claims, if Vettel was driving the Williams, he would have still won the championship last season?
Then, are you claiming that Kimi and/or Grosjean all of a sudden had really developed the current fast Renault? Wow...I didn't hear anything about Kimi in the last testings.
Schumi is probably the most experienced driver in the field...why isn't his car doing so well so far for the last 3 years...And when Alonso won the championship twice in a row, it was him who developed his cleaver car?
As for Alonso by the way, he is the only current driver at the moment who by FAR outperformed the capabilities of his current car and his team.

No. The point was that had F2012 been decent then there's no doubt that it would have been thanks to Fernando, not Ferrari.

When it isn't it's Ferrari's fault.

Things like that are annoying when he is first hailed as a car developer and in the next moment he has nothing to do with the car.
