Driving the 2011 Mercedes MGP W02, Michael Schumacher topped the timesheets on the second day at Jerez, though Australian duo Mark Webber and Daniel Ricciardo were the quickest drivers in 2012 cars.

I can not figure out how they are testing with the 2011 car? No way did it pass the 2012 crash test. And FIA said you had to pass 2012 crash test to even test this year. So did the FIA make a exception for Mercedes?

EXACTLY!!! I posted the same question on Twitter to MBGP and F1. WTF?!!? Besides with all the technical changes how the heck do they plan to glean anything worthwhile for the 2012 ride?
