Here we go again Ladies and Gents

Macca fastest in 1st practise at the Hungaroring with Alonso up there too.Practise times don't mean too much especially P1.Should be hot with chance of rain too so it's anybodies guess who will win with the field still being so close.

Lets hope for a great race like so many this year.

Don't forget to join us in F1 manager game.4 Mil is kicking our butt in that game but he got a headstart!
Good to see that Lawrence has converted to an Alonso fan.He calls himself "6 tenths the Killer" great accolade to Fernando who has become one of the all time greatest drivers in F1 and the Best since Ayrton Senna!.
Lets go Fernando! Win again in Hungary! 31 Wins on his 31st Birthday!!

Hamilton quickest again in P2
then Kimi.
Massa 4th
Alonso 5th
Only practise though and mostly wet in the 2nd session.

I wouldn't mind a wet race in the land of those Huns.2006 at hungary was an epic drive from Alonso in the wet when he started from 15th on the grid after a grid penalty and fought his way up to 1st place only to have a drive shaft failure and retirement. Can't forget that classic around the outside overtake on Michael Schumacher during that wet race!.

Alonso is usually awesome in the wet.Hungary 2006,Nurburgring 2007 which he won,Korea 2010 in the wet he won,Malaysia this year and 2 poles this year in the rain proves again what an all round best racer he is.
Hungary 2003 was also Alonso's 1st win when he lapped Schumacher! during Schumachers dominant reign if 5 years!

Mind you, a victory would be bombastic but all we need is a podium place in respect to the world championship, don't we :o))
Forza Alonsooooooo

Blimey, that was a very odd qualifying.
The 2 Ferraristi were both faster in Q2......
We can only hope for rain to get a podium me thinking....

Yeah Bruno and those Maccas look bloody quick again like they were in the dry practise and race in Germany after theur big upgrade.
I'm not too worried with 6th on the grid as Ferrari has always had better race pace if the qualli was dry.

now it's time to do a rain dance.Enjoy the race:)

Unless it rains with some luck, other wise only a miracle will get Alonso on the podium...no doubt all the cars in the front are faster. Massa could be a factor if he could stay behind Alonso working his tiers well on the mediums for longer stints than those in front of him, and then manages to slow them down after a good 1st pit stop for Alonso...perhaps perhaps perhaps...just saying
At this stage of the championship whats important is for Alonso to accumulates as many points as possible while Webber is struggling in the back...Good luck Mr. Alonso and enjoy it guys.

Cheers, mate.
I will enjoy the race and as you said, race pace is always better but on this mickey mouse track
you can't overtake.
Anyway, I have made a raindance with my kids but they would rather have a Lotus winning :o)
Mind you, I wouldn't mind as long as Vettel is not winning. Webber is no threat.
The forecast is still not clear....
Enjoy the race as well !

Yup, I have also noticed that Massa was very close this time in qualifying.
I'm worried about the start. Fernando is on the dirty/dusty side of the track and Massa on the clean side. So, it could also be that he even drops behind him at the start :o((
Oh well, we shall see. So, who is gona win?

Even a Hamilton win would be better for Alonso's championship at this stage as he's 62 points behind and not likely to have the consistency to bridge the gap over ten races. In other words Lewy is likely to screw up atleast in 1 out of every 4 races.lol
So the grid generally looks good for Alonso's points position.Better still that Grojean from P2 or Kimi from P5 or Button from P4 wins.

Vettel from p3 is still the main foe to Alonso in the WDC so Alonso will target him but still not take unnecessary risks to beat him Unlike Valencia where it was attack-attack-attack!! and that reminds aswell that if overtaking in Valencia was more than possible this year even outside the DRS zones then it could be the same in Hunsgary!

Let's just see what sort of race pace Alonso produces when he uses all the buttons to dial the car in on the fly.

great race by Hamilton and Kimi.I was hoping Kimi would win but all the same as Alonso actually extends his lead in WDC to 40points over Webber! and loses only 2 points to Vettel his main rival after another 10 point haul.Seems that the heat isn't kind to Ferrari aswell as this type of curcuit and the fact that no real upgrades since Canada. better get some good upgrades for Spa and Monza.

Alonso did his 23rd consecutive points finish! When he scores in Belgium he will equal Schumachers record of 24 in a row!

I was also hoping for Kimi. Oh well, I bet he will win a race this year. Yup, Fernando did the best
he could in terms of the Championship. After the break comes Spa, me favourite track.
Ferrari has to come up with some more upgrades as you said.
Let's hope !
Catch you up.

Congratulations to the top 3 winners.
At least it was good to see Massa fighting for some points in this lacking good top speed/no good grip Ferrari...THE QUESTION: Until when in the season do you think Ferrari will produce some top notch updates to enable it to fight in the front?
Dam it...even the Lotus is not only faster all season...it is much faster.

Lewis picked up 15 points on Fernando today.....15 big ones. Writing Hamilton off at this point, not to stand a chance at winning the 2012 WDC, on anyones part is a big mistake, especially with 9 races too go. Today was an important win for Lewis, which sill keeps his championship hopes alive.

Kimi surely made me nervous today, but still a good drive on his part.

Well Done today.....Lewis Hamilton!!

G...My name isn't 6/10ths the Killer, but 6/10ths Killer. I have to confess that you are right, and now have become a fan of Alonso. It's amazing how he has capitalized on others misfortune or mistakes, and now leads the WDC in a car that isn't the fastest on the grid......truly amazing!

I may have become a recent fan of 6/10ths, but don't get me wrong....I hope that Lewis will still kick him in his ass!!

yup, a very good drive by Hamilton but did anybody understand the strategy behind Button's
stops? Very odd me thinking....but I did not complain :o))
Bloody fast these Mc'Larens these days .....makes me a bit nervous....

With the recent McLaren upgrades where they showed in Germany that they were the fastest (When Alonso pulled magic from a hat again despite Macca being faster) and their performance in Hungary,I now consider that Lewy is the main rival to Alonso's WDC this year rather than Vettel. Now that Red Bull have been caught cheating with their pants down exposed as engine map cheaters aswell as still illegally blowing diffusors,Vettel is quite a fake compared to Lewy.

On driving abilty I have no doubts about Alonso but Ferrari really need to catch up with the progress Macca has made.

Congrats to Lewis and specially to 6/10th killer for this strong and dominant weekend and well deserved win!!

Come on Lewis go go go !!!
(we need Lewis to take some points away from the ones above him and behind Alonso as Massa is unable to do it)

I like Webber for his straight forward character and no nonsense comments, but he doesn't offer any realistic challenge towards Alonso's attempt to secure the 2012 WDC. It's much too early in the season to discount Vettel, but I would agree with you on two points:

1. Lewis is Fernando's main challenge for the 2012 WDC.

2. Ferrari needs to continue their quest for more speed from the F1 2012, in order to secure the WDC.
