Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Lt. Col. Greg Gadson lost both his legs to a roadside bomb in Iraq, but his unwavering love of life and persistent optimism might be as great a source of inspiration to the New York Giants as an Eli Manning ...

I posted a link to another article about this man on another thread.

For me this man is the total emobdiemnet (sp) of the Giants. Never surrender, Never quit, Never stop trying.

He and his son (8) were at the GB game on the sidelines, as the article that I read said.....When the game ended Gadson's son ran onto the field.....For both of them.

Just wanted to say that as a former West Point player I had the opportunity to play under Coach Sullivan and I owe much of my success to his belief in me. Also, I had the opportunity to meet and lalk to LTC Gadson on a couple of occasions before and after his injury. The man embodies what a leader should be. Bless him and the Giants for recogizing his contributions, and through him all of our other men who sacrifice so much for so little in return.

Col. Gadsen reflects the Apostle Paul's belief that "when I am weak then am I strong". This man is an inspiration to us all and he has given us a reason to celebrate our freedoms and all the advantages of being an American. We thank you sir, and we know we haven't heard the end of your influence.

Yeah,
Why don't Oprah bring this man out on stage????
Here is a man who;s light pierces the darkness of race, color,or creed. Here is a song, looking for an audience.

Lt.Col. Gadson reaffirms everything I believe regarding our military personnel: they enjoy a selflessness and a belief that serving something greater than oneself is the proper way to live one's life. It is a lesson that could be well-learned by the vast majority of our so-called political "LEADERS", on both sides of the aisle........

The Giantgnome’s path to Gnome Bowl

This is the tale of some special gnomes
They left their homes in order to roam
They live up in Jersey and call the Giant’s Stadium home
But through all their travels they are never alone

Theses gnomes I speak of are a very special sort
Better known as The Giantgnomes, whom play a rough sport
They do their best, so don’t sell them short
They will put up a good fight all way through the fourth

Giantgnomes are a very rare breed
They can only be grown from Giantgnome seeds
They don’t puff on gnome weed
They are too busy coming up with a play to take the lead

The story of the Giantgnomes is rich and bold
A story of this type never grows old
So here it is as I’ve been told
The story that leads up to the gnomes bowl, where many tickets were sold

It seems these champs, as they are called
Came from humble beginnings, their quest almost stalled
Many were torn and appalled
But they came back strong ready to be mauled

In the beginning of the year they had a big dream
With hard work and practice they grew as a team
Their goals and ambitions were not just a gleam
They were ready to kick some butt and let off some steam

Experts predicted a quick end to their throne
Said,“even if their Giants, they’re still just gnome”
Nobody would even throw them a bone
They made fun of their hats shaped like cones

Giantgnomes are more than just a lawn toy
They hit hard and tackle; it’s their joy
They are a strong, competitive group of boys
They don’t just drive around in their Tonka’s w/ alloys’

They beat Tampa Bay in the heat and the sweat
Beat them quite soundly, many lost their bet
It was just the beginning of their journey there was still more to get
But for now their goal was being met

Off to Dallas our champs would roam
Because of their seed they would not go home
They beat the cowboys, dried them to bone
Victory was sure to be known

Next was Green bay, the challenge got more thick
Fans almost grew very sick
When the Gnomegiants missed that dang kick
But they pulled through, that last play was slick

Their final quest is about to unfold
The New England Patriots have a record they hold
Giantgnomes have no chance we’re told
But what they don’t know is Giantgnomes are ready to take the gold

For all the gnomes know if they want to celebrate
They must shut down the one player they hate
Brady must be stopped there is no debate
Victory isn’t declared it’s not too late

These gnome champs are like machines
They’re prepared to kick A S S on the field of green
Their faces are serious and mean
Show your support and watch them on the big screen

We will all cheer on the Gnomegiants as they get the job done
Win or lose its all good and fun
Regrets, we have none
We will always love the giants tons!!!
