Great Year

Pompton Plains, NJ

#1 Jan 4, 2009
While everyone is a little disappointed, this was a GREAT YEAR and I'm thrilled at the positive step forward the organization took this year. This team wasn't supposed to win 4 games and ended up winning the division, a division with the Patriots and Jets in it, both of whom had way more talent.

With no WRs and a rookie offensive line, this team did so much more than anyone could have ever expected. They really had no chance to go far in the playoffs, but with a divisional championship and another year of experience, this team should really have something for the next couple of years, even though they'll have a tough schedule next year.

Hate to see the season come to an end, but it went further than I thought possible.

Ginn quit being scared to take hits - tired of watching you lay down...this is PRO football, youre getting paid

Did Fasano play in the game?

Congrats overall Fins - nice turnaround season!

Usually this happens when you plan a cream puff schedule only to be spanked in the playoffs by good teams. Losers.

The dejected look on Parcells face was the best. 17 years since your last Super Bowl Bill Parcells, good job at fooling the Dolphins fans like you did the rest of the AFC East you were once part of.

If you read these boards you will know I am one of the top Ginn bashers, mostly because he has been afraid to take a hit and curls up like a little girl but today he actually went after some balls and caught them. He also did something he never does, he fell forward. Maybe our little girl is becoming a man.
I agree on the season.

What revenge? Was he the Head Coach? We all know that Cam is a good OC, what he showed here in that he is not a leader of men and a poor judge of talent.

Another thing...who's the moron who decided to put that BS poll on that page? NO blame. Not every team can win and move forward in the playoffs. Four other teams were eliminated this week. These Dolphins were the best we have had for a long, long, time...I was so proud of them this season - the first time in a long time. Baltimore is a really great team. This year, they were just better. Nothing for our, MY, Dolphins to be discouraged over. Sure it stinks to lose. But, this team was nothing but winners in my book. Thanks '08 Dolphins! God Bless You All!

Hey Dolphins...Thank you! I was so proud to be a Dolphin fan this season. This was a rough game, and you have nothing to hang your heads over. Especially Chad. Hey, I was sick over us signing you, a former JET, to lead our team. What a leader you were! I'm looking forward to seeing you lead us again next year. And Sparano! You Da Man! Nice job rookie! Again, congratulations on your accomplishments this season (if nothing else, knocking the Jets and the Pats out of the post season with one stone...) Relax and enjoy your off-season. You deserve it. Again, thank you so much!

This team can hold its head high. I have repeatedly compared it to the 1970 team which made the playoffs in Don Shula's first season. It too lost in its first playoff game. But the next year it made it to the Super Bowl against Dallas.

This team still lacks a few ingredients. Next season the O line will be more cohesive and be able to give Pennington protection even against the most aggressive defenses. We are probably still one WR short, and I would anticipate the Tuna will be prowling for a Wes Welker kind of player (why in the heck did we ever let him get away?).

But one thing is clear- these Miami Dolphins have served notice on the league that they are back. We have real players, real coaches and a real desire to win a championship. How great is that?

Hey Dave...
I can see how annoyed you get with Harvey during the post-game reports. Cutting you off left and right. Reign him in dude! Also, address the camera more even if you're not talking.

correction, we already have a wes welker type in Bess. Parcells and Ireland will go for a number 1 receiver Ginn beinng number 2, and Bess number 3. Look for the phins to make a run at Anquon Boldin in free agency. their other needs are two o-linemen, a young nose tackle, and inside linebacker. crowder will be moved outside or let go to free agency. polite has been a good find, but they'll draft the best FB they can find as well.

as for this season, my hats off to the entire organization. great year, play-offs and all.

Ginn will be a much better player when the dolphins get another quality receiver on the field with him...and i mean a quality #1 type like Anquon Boldin. let defenses chase ginn around them and see how easy it is.

yeah, if they had just a little tougher schedule the Pats would have been in. Chad will take you only so far, like Jets fans already know.

bye dolphins. enjoy the long off season with favre.. guess we won't have to hear old shula comparing chad to bob griese anytime soon.yes the dolphins had a great season. they will have to work even harder next year. expectations will be higher. and team was remakably healthy this year with no major injuries to key players.

oh let the cry babies out of the cage. here comes the whine. and please stop offending other teams by comparing them. to say that is a slap in the face of the other team and only a continuation of the notorious living in the past. maybe when ever or if ever the fins start to live in the present and not ride someone elses coat tails will they have true success. we re like the so and so of 1983 or we re like the so and so of 1993. oh come on. be yourselves. stop saying you are as good as so and so was back in 72, 92, or what ever. the most phony and least genuine.
and the blame begins.
losers are losers. cry babies are cry babies.
