Unlike Wannie who would go 11-5 and think his team was "close" to winning a Super Bowl; Parcells (and Ireland and Sparano) go 11-5 and they know they aren't close.

We're in good hands.

THank goodness. THis bodes very well for the future of this franchise. 22 of the 53 players on the roster at the end of the season were rookies or 2nd year players. Hey still have a few areas to improve on, but this team is well on its way with a good solid foundation. I'm almost as excited for this off season as I was last year. The Dolphins have around $20M in salary cap space, and like last year, have a 1st and two 2nd round picks.

Thank you Mr. Parcells for sticking around, fulfilling your contract, and finishing the great rebuilding process you started.

I have been a Miami Dolphin Fan for over 25 years now, and i can honestly say that i have never had more confidence in who is running the organization and making personnel decisions than i do right now. I feel extreme faith in not only Parcells, but Ireland and Sparano as well. Please keep up the great work gentlemen and lets throw back a few beers when "we" are the envy of the NFL and can enjoy "our" world championship. Peace!!

I had a feeling that Tuna wasn't going anywhere, unless Ross was a complete overly involved tool like Jerry Jones.

The fact is that Tuna knows with his past health issues and his disdain for the media, that he is getting too old for the rigors of being a head coach.
I believe he really grows to enjoy being the overall orchestrator and looks forward to a few executive of the year awards, along with a few CHAMPIONSHIPS in Miami.
Tuna likes south florida, had a home in the area and local golf buddies even before he accepted the current job with the Dolphins.
He also has stated he has enough money, which is partly why he didn't feel the need to bolt with the loot clause in his contract.
So my guess is Tuna is here to stay for the long haul until he retires for good, especially if he becomes good friends and comfortable with Ross like he did with Wayne H.

Stay Tuna Go Phins!

"The Godfather" Parcells is staying as ruling member of the "Meatball Mafia"
Only trouble is he's going shopping at the 5 and dime store wit Da 25th pick!
He's gonna have to take second and third tier players out of each round or move up. Most players he wants as #1's will be snatched before he has a chance to draft em. BooHOOO!
