This is exciting. It seems that every player has been saying great things about the new coaching staff and Parcells (the man upstairs). Maybe it's because they genuinly like this regime or it's because they are afraid of being cut if they say anything negative. Either way, they are being motivated and this is starting to look and sound like a tight team. I'll admit that I was one of those that felt 3 or 5 wins this season at the most, but as the season gets closer I'm starting to think the Phins are going to surprise a lot of people.
I like the comment from McCown:
"Parcells and Co. purposely brought in "hungry" players who have yet to establish themselves because it creates an almost desperate atmosphere.

"I promise you someone that needs money will cut your grass a lot better than someone who doesn't need money," McCown said.
I have been looking for a new lawn service, maybe I should wait for the next team cuts. lol

This is so encouraging to hear. This attitude adjustment is just one of many reasons why this franchise in on the rebound.

I am encouraged by this. This regime may have that my way or the highway attitude, but thats easier to deal with IMO, because you know what you are going to get with Parcells + co..
I myself cant wait for football.

Its a good sign. I also like the fact Miami has signed more rookies than I have ever seen on the roster. This will be a young team with promise for the future. And I look forward to ronnie brown and ricky williams running the ball. Maybe Miami can play keep away football. I am hoping Miami wins 5 - 6 games this next year.

Maybe thats why our D has been so horrible. Capers made it so confusing that they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off, instead of reacting to where the ball was going. This new approach will make our D a force to be reccond with again...GO PHINS!!!

We've heard all of this before with every new coach. I'm excited but I'm keeping my expectations low. Lets see how they do on the field first

I like the idea of making it easy to understand the schemes before the ball is snapped. I also like McCowns' thought on being hungry. This team will make the fans happier for sure. They got alot younger real fast. That is a very good beginning. As for the players being expected to say these things, I agree. But the fact that alot of the players are rookies or players beginning to mature as athletes is very encouraging. The fact that this is going to be a young team that will grow together, will get better as the season progresses, is very promising for the future of the Dolphins. That is what I'm looking forward to.

I think this team will be fun to watch. I enjoyed some games last year, even though we lost (we went to the Philly game to see Beck's first start). They were not always as bad as the record. I think there is some possibility that they will win more games thatn they lose and maybe even a wild card.

BTW, I think Beck was not so bad last year and with an OL, he may be great. On the other hand I like McCown and Henne. I think it is looking up.

Perhaps JT tanked out last season because of the complex defensive schemes. However, in today's NFL, with all the technology and intricacies involved, is it a good idea to keep things too simple? I guess I reserve judgement til I see the first 4 games in the preseason. That hopefully will give a glimpse as to what's coming. Just a thought.

One step at a time baby. Getting these guys on the same page is the first step along with the physical aspects of being stronger and tougher. It's time for the Dolphins to lay a whipping on the other teams for once.

When you see this team play smart, hard-nosed football in all aspects of the game for all 60 minutes, they'll get their share of wins, grow and develop to get better, and realize, "This is where the attitude, accountability, discipline, training, and preparation pay off."

Listen to what Paul Pierce said in his ESPN post-game press conference after his Celtic team came from as many as 24 points down to beat the Lakers in their crib. James Posey's game last night brought back the memories of what the Heat did to win it all two years ago. Oh yeah! He's one of those hardnosed backups you need on the team to win.

Let this report ultimately be translated into the Dolphins making plays when it really counts.

I hope this sinks into JT's heart & mind. That's why the Tuna has been doing to him what he's been doing to him. He needs to put his time & energy into preparation and melding in with his teammates instead of living off the glory of the past. It's much more fun when you do the things that help your team win.

Attitude is the first step in any activity. I rememebr last year we lost six games by three points or less. They just did not have the will or desire to close out the games with a win.

Imagine if we would have had this attitude then. It would have made and unbearable season a bit better. Once the season hits the mid-way point the weeding out process begins. The teams that are not in shape mentally or physically start to drop. That's when the real test for the future of the Dolphins will come.

With the new staff we might have a chance. Let's hope we've completely removed the spirit of Dumb and Dumber:(Wannstadt and Cameron) and Scum and Scummier:(Johnson and Saban).

After my most depressing year as a Dolphin fan (since 1970),in which i swore many times never to watch the Dolphins again,I am really excited and encouraged by what i'm hearing, exspecially from the players about the Trio !!
I know we're probably not going to see the playoffs this year, but we're on our way back to glory !!
GO FINS!!
