Sooooo glad Cameron went easy on everyone during training camp so they could all get sidelined when the real hitting began. Who is our training staff and why aren't these guys in game shape?
Ronnie's injury was Lemon's fault for a bad interception. This is not a football team, it's a women's field hockey team. And a bad one at that.
New trainers, new scouts, new GM and new head coach. Make Cam the Off. Coordinator, or just let the fans vote on the next play wirelessly from their seats in the stadium.
Comeon, one of the most commonly agreed upon notions in profootball is that you never know when the injury bug is gonna hit. Sometimes it's after a difficult camp (dolphins under JJ) sometimes it's after an ez camp (dolphins this year), sometimes it's both. Joe Gibbs said recently on Sirius NFL radio he's experimented over the years and found zero correlation between anything tangible and the injury bug.

The fins are 0-12, can't you berate Cameron without having to blame him for the injuries?

I don't believe in bugs causing injuries, unless you are talking about Lyme Disease or the mere potential of H5N1. What do ACL, MCL, and knee injuries have in common? And no, I'm not talking about steroids!

0-12 with no hope of victory this year. Sad, very sad. The 07 Dolphins performance is about what one would expect from an expansion team. Sad to see so many injuries. It will take two maybe three years to be competitive again.

Can we beat the Bengals?
Now this is funny..........in order to beat a team, the dolphins will have to score a few points. And latley that only seems to happen by accident.

I just figured out what the curse is..........The Dolphins have agreed to have a team picture on the cover of MADDEN 2008. The curse is a year early.

This in no way addressed my comments, other than to take issue with one term I used: "injury bug"

Perhaps to help you consider what I've written (if you're at all interested) you could replace "injury bug" with "rash of injuries".

What purpose would your response to me have other than to obfuscate my original point, which was made quite clearly with supporting facts from a hall of fame coach?

He's only the leading tackler in our secondary this year.

Your sorry attempt to marginalize him really just makes you look like a misinformed/ignorant fan.

I fully agree. In a season like this, watching one of the players that has shown the most heart go down is salt in the wound.

Take no offense, it's not about what you posted. This "rash of injuries" is uncommon. There is a trend that has formed and I, for one, would like to know why. The only "glaring hit" that anyone has taken was Ricky getting stomped on by Lawrence Timmons and TG with the concussion. Other than those two, this "rash" seems to be spreading. Are our players conditioned properly? Calisthenics? Weight room? Too few practices?

I don't portend to know the true answer, but these SEASON ending injuries are ridiculous. Maybe it's just bad luck? I don't believe in luck. This shouldn't happen to ANY team, and Cam's job is in the balance due to these injuries, which I don't believe to be his fault.

Sorry, jahndoe. I didn't mean to make it seem as though I was disrespecting you. Now you know what I mean when I say that I don't believe in the "injury bug"... there's got to be a reason for these substantial and too many injuries. Any thoughts?

Now, on to the bitchin, moanin & groanin.
How bad is it? The vultures are circling. It is so bad that Michael Mayo is writing a sports column. That is bad - did anyone read it? Hoo boy. C'mon, we aren't a societal basket case yet Michael, get back on your beat. Have you no decency man? Leave the Phins alone.
Does anyone keep stats on the record amount of injuries? Barring a bus, train or plane accident, I can't recall any team having so many injuries. This is getting to be unreal. There is a curse here somewhere. The curse of Nick. Or is it the curse of Daunte? Or ...
Whoever or whatever it is, the curse needs removing. I said it once before and I will iterate:
It is time to get the little old witch doctor lady from Haiti to do what needs to be done. She needs to get it done by Dec. 23rd. She needs to get a Tom Shady doll. And a Bill Barfochick doll. And lots of pins. Long, sharp pins. Rusty pins.
The perfect storm is coming. We cannot waste the opportunity. We need a white-out game and black magic. Light the incense. Time for .... Voodoo football.
Actually, Bellichick has kept a voodoo doll in his office since the Pats' Super Bowl against the Rams.
