Until we hear more information about what is going on behind the scenes, we can treat the McGahee situation like this.

Our next four games are against the Redskins(6th ranked D), Steelers(1st ranked D), Dallas(Last game at Texas Stadium and we will need to control the clock) and Jacksonville.

What would putting McGahee in the game against the Bengals have honestly accomplished?

Whereas we won the game by 31, and got the chance to rest him for the long stretch.

Now.....If we get into it with the Redskins on Sunday night and begin to pull away early to where we won't need him again, I say rest him some more.

If we are locked in a tight one with the Redskins and McGahee sees minimal to no time, then we as fans will know without a doubt that their is something else going on.

Agreed. McGahee is banged up. Why not let him heal up and have him available for the stretch run?

If Brian Billick were still the Head Coach, then I might put more into what Preston was saying. Enjoy him or despise him, Preston had his fingers onto accurate information on some occassions back then.

However, Preston is just trying to stir the pot here. He still has something against Ed Reed, because after a recent win against the Eagles, in the post game press conference, Reed called out Preston in front of all the media about having inaccurate information. That's why Preston came out the next days after that bashing Reed so much for trying to lateral the ball after the one interception and why he keeps trying to make it seem like Reed has been an issue in the locker room. It's not true.

I think McGahee's remarks has just increased his value in everyone's eyes. Even if those are not his true thoughts. He is keeping his lip zipped and going with the flow.

Not surprised to see Mcgahee in line with most who speak in public about whats going on behind raven's doors. It shows he's a team first guy. I couldn't believe the other day all the bashing he took. For goodness sakes, he was a pro bowler last year...with around 1,200 yds. How soon we forget. He's from the "U", so believe me he's listening to Ray and Ed, and they are 2 class guys. It seems like Mr Preston as usual is wrong and just wants to stir the pot to keep his job. Should we all say "cutbacks"...and aging reporter? What a stiff. According to what I heard on the evening radio talk show yesterday from a Raven's mouth, most buy into Coach Harbaugh. I hope Ed Reed is next to come out ad say that Mr Preston is wrong...then Heap and Rolle can follow. Shut you PIEHOLE Mr Preston. Ravens win on Sunday....37-10.

The Bengals game was pretty much forgone. I agree with resting McGahee because we're going to need some serious horsepower down the stretch. I think it's brilliant that you let Rice and McLain do the heavy lifting against the Bengals so McGahee is rested and in better shape for the meaningful games - the reprise of the three headed monster. It would have been a disaster if McGahee would have gotten hurt against the Bengals when he didn't have to.

All 3 backs have a little something different to offer and Willis is still banged up. Against teams that can stuff the run, LeRon seems to go right at the hole and still manage to gain a couple of yards regardless, whereas Willis does the old Jamaal 2-step without the A#% to back it up when contact is made. Willis' forte is his combination of power and speed, but he can't move the pile like McClain. I say use each one when the situation dictates. I like Rice seeing some time receiving this week because the Skins will have to show more respect to Clayton& Heap. The underneath should be open to Rice on swingouts after Clayton and Heap clear out their secondary. They always have to respect Mason, but now balance seems to be one of the biggest parts of the Raven's recent offensive success.

Just goes to show what an idiot Mike Preston is, McGahee , according to the quotes in this article, is at the very least showing that he is a team guy after all!

I could care less about what Preston says because he is all about trying to stir up drama. Ray lewis has been here long enough to realize that Preston is only trying to get in their heads, and so far they are not buying his BS about harbaugh and blah blah. So really just forget about it.

Dunno if anyone heard the Jason Brown show last night on 105.7, but he basically, without naming Mike Preston, completely bashed that article that named Reed one of those who's not down with the Harbaugh plan. It was amazing.

I'm guessing that almost everyone in the ravens locker room do not like Preston at all. If that's the case, then good for them.
