I'm not sure if I'm correct on this and I know it doesn't mean a damn thing but ...
... this is the first time since 1975 that 3 white guys were drafted 1-2-3 ...

Like the Ravens said about Boller, they got 'happy feet' and jumped up to 18 for fear of losing the chance at a QB. First round's over and the remaining QB's are still on the board, but all the big time corners are all gone already. The Ravens will still be searching for their "franchise qb" two years from now. Rate this draft a D so far.

This shows they must not think too much of Troy.

I'm a Delaware grad and I'm shocked that Flacco went this high.

He's really good, but Delaware normally doesn't merit this kind of respect.

Flacco will be a stud or a washout. I don't think there's any middle ground for him. His character is strong, so Ravens fans might be in for some quality.

Great. A QB from a team that played Towson State. Still, to be fair, there were only six sure things in the entire draft and they were all gone by Number-8.

Also, the stockpiling of draft picks (three threes and three fours as I write this) can only be a good thing, assuming Ozzie manages to avoid another Dwan Edwards, Devard Darling, and/or Dan Cody.

Did Harbaugh have a slip of the tongue when he said he thinks the quarterback who gives us the best chance to win will be our starter? I would hope so! Do you start the guy who does't give us a chance to win? Jeez.

Is Ozzy all the sudden afraid to make a draft pick? I guess we will wait and see how it pans out, put right now I am confused.

Did we just draft Shane Falco? Did someone mix "The Replacements" DVD in with the scouting film? Someone make sure Ozzie is awake please? I fear we just drafted Kyle Boller Part II. I really hope I'm wrong about this bad feeling I have...

I thought we needed an impact player at #8 , then one of the second tier q-backs in round 2 , what is going on ?

This is Ozzie's worse draft. We had the chance to land two impact players and we end up with a QB that won't likely start this year. It's like sending your kid to the store with a shopping list and some money and he blows it all on twinkies. Where's the CB or OT. We have enough prospects we need starters. Oz it's time to join Billick!

No pressure on QBs by us last season, either, thus no pass defense, and no protection of our QBs, as usual, thus the offense struggled as always.
But we have another QB to sacrifice behind our line, then wonder why he struggles.

And now we draft a running back ????
I hope they have something planned like trading for a starting CB, maybe Lito Sheppard because if not we're going to get lit up, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Washington all drafted big receivers and we play against TO and Buress, look out !!

Although I have not problem with Flacco as a QB, we already have 2 young QBs with as much potential. If the goal was to improve the offense, the Ravens should have taken a player to help the existing QBs do their job.

I'm with you, Hey.....drafting Rice is clearly a "best available athlete" pick, but it makes no immediate sense. I'm thinking that the Ravens have a trade in mind, with Rice as some bait along with a few of the stock-piled draft picks they've received with all of the wheeling-and-dealing. Man, I hope they can snare Lito out of Philly. THEN, this would all make some sense.
