In your dreams. The Eagles are going nowhere but down as long as McNabb and Reid are there. Do you really think McNabb has a good chance of staying healthy for an entire year? Based on recent history, the chances are slim. He's not getting any younger. I don't care if we beat you Eagles next year, as long as at the end of the 16 game season, we are in the playoffs. You beat us once this year. What did that accomplish? NOTHING!!! GO COWBOYS!!!

So if the Eagles end up 2 and 14 but both wins are against the Cowboys, you'll be happy?
Wouldn't you rather the Eagles beat their rivals, the NY Giants?

Eagles - Smeagles

They should get rid of Reid and McNabb - should've kept Garcia... they need to rebuild again.

It's just a team - get a life people!

Such a hostile/arrogant response to my comment. You are the type of fan that makes Eagles fans look bad. So arrogant!!! The Eagles are going nowhere but down!!!They are fielding one of the oldest teams in the NFL. Particularly on defense, which is supposed to be their strength. I am happy to read in this article that they want to keep all the old men who are injured most of the time. As long as they keep the old men, they will lose more and more games to both the Cowboys and several other teams. If they ever want to become a consistent winner they need to learn to mix veterans and youth together, with more emphasis on youth. Look at all the teams in the playoffs this year. They all have a good mix of veterans and youth. None of them are old like your beloved Eagles.

OK,
All the "Go Eagles" and "Go Cowboy" fans will always say the same things in here.
Sometimes the comments don't even get close to the article.
All Eagles and Cowboys fans just type what comment will support their team.
That's great. I'm glad all of you have a team you want to defend.
But,
If you don't add anything to this article, it is about the Eagles and what they want to improve on.
How about a great player (or two) to catch the ball?
Ten more "good" players and...this team is the team to beat.
Start with some players that are "golden" on the offense to catch the ball, and, maybe, this can be more than just a news article.

the eagles need to trade not the 19th pick but a pick after to the bengals and get chad johnson over here with mcnabb and release darren howard , and kearse and bring in a monster on the defense. they have 12 picks we dont need 12 picks keep 4 pickis trade the rest but get chad over here if we do i feel a bowl but chad should be first on our list..

You mentioned Curtis 4+ times, but the problem here is brown. They cant fix the 'problem' because curtis is a 2, not a game breaking one. Size in general plagues the eagles at CB, RB and WR. L.J aint a bruiser either.

i'm all for the upgrades, thru tha draft and free agency. but-the front office better start getting some IMPACT players in here, because the rest of the division (minus the vastly overrated team from irving) is on the warpath. earlier this year, i suggested that the front office do whatever neccessary to get laron landry (safety) from lsu. ask washington how that worked out. THEN- we let stallworth walk off to the pats- instead of locking him up AND signing curtis. COULD'VE been a nice duo. heckert and banner---do a better job of evaluating AND keeping talent!!!!!

On offense the Eagles need a true number 1 receiver which would make the current crop much more dangerous. I believe Brown and Curtis are good but not number 1's. This would also make Westbrook a bigger threat as teams zoned on him all year. This would give the Eagles a huge amount of flexibility and they can spread the field with 4-5 reciever packages using Westbrook in that scheme. They also need a quality back to take the load off off Westbrook in short yardage situations and allow him to be a decoy or a receiver out of the backfield. I like Hunt and hope he develops as the one to fill the role. Defensively it is tough to tell. The young players on the line, and at linebacker began to show late. I am concerned about the small defensive ends though Cole and his cohorts played well. Let go the veterens and add depth with the draft. I believe it is time to also look for a safety and cornerback in the draft as well as an offensive lineman as we age up front. The tight end position can also be bolstered in the draft, I like Celek alot and won't mind if Smith goes elsewhere. He is too often injured and his production is down.

All the talk about McNabb and Reid. What's the problem, no one will go to the playoff every year, we've had a long good run. So we had a bad year, and we have to regroup and please get off McNabb being hurt. McNabb is healthy now and that's what matters, we need to move on. Dallas fans need to realize that T.O has been hurt alot and we haven't said anything about that. We will be back next year and will at least to the playoff with McNabb and Reid. To the fan that asked if we would be happy if the Eagles beat Dallas and won nothing else? We would love to be Dallas both times, but it's silly to state that's all we're worried about. Of course we want to go to the playoff and it takes more than just winning 2 games. A comment like that is of no use to anyone and should not even be printed anywhere, because it's a nonsense comment.
