With another defeat in the playoffs Peyton Mannng further digs a deeper trench and further hi-lights his legacy of being a choker. One more similar event in 2014 and he will be not only among the biggest chokers but in the running for top choker in US History. He is already equated with Chamberlain yet Peyton has had better teams and still finds a way to lose. Having the top rated offense and coming away with only 8 gimmee points after the game was over was a disgrace. Another problem with Peyton is he, like the media, refuses to accept the truth. While several teammates all acknowledged the embarrassment, Peyton refuses to admit it was. One more like this and Peyton will take all those crony sports writers with him, down to the depths of history's biggest losers. Feel bad for Peyton, but the media that has tried to make the 7th-11th best QB in history the top dog, they belong there. Too bad it's their writings that have aided in making Peyton the perceived loser that he is. Had they never tried to over value Peyton, he could have been considered an exceptional QB. When they tried to make him more than he is, they invited scrutiny that shows he is not even in the discussion for greatest. Every time they try to convince us he is, all they do is cause to bring up all the reasons why he is nowhere close. They should have left well enough alone. All the MVPs they give him, which are not deserved, only serve to raise expectations. When these expectations are not met, it brings more disdain for his failures which are considerable. Best Oline, best receiving corps and playing at altitude, like playing in a dome give Peyton unbelievable advantages that he fritters away come big game time. He simply lacks the psychological mental toughness to be given the credit the press heaps on him. A lot like the media who fritters away the truth on a daily basis. Like every time they proclaim Peyton best ever or even just MVP. Media should divorce themselves from Peyton and get back to reporting the truth. Even GMs and Owners didn't think Peyton was the MVP. Not even in the top 3. With the offense support he had, he should have had killer numbers. The top 3 where spectacular but had no such support. That's what made them much more deserving of the award.
