All those UCF haters spoke to soon about our crappy performance. Looks like UCF is the better team after all.

Total demolition. USF was just not worthy today. That's the way it goes sometimes. Kudos to the Ducks.

you know, the UCF-USF stuff is tired and can be left off...

I was hoping ALL of the junior Florida programs (UCF, USF, FAU) would win their bowl games, and after UCF lost to MSU, I was really pulling for USF...
*sigh*

Oh wells, if the Bulls can come back next year and play as well all year as they did through the first half of this season, they could really shock a few people!

On to the BIG CORRUPT SELLOUT championship game

Tough loss for USF...

No 10 wins.

No conference title.

No top 25 ranking.

Where does Leavitt get off talking about USF belonging in the Big 3?? You need to win a couple national championships first.. This was their best year ever and they lost to 4 unranked teams and couldn't even win the crappy Big East. I guess we know where the coach got his degree from!

I think USF will go down as one of the most over rated teams in the history of college football. UCF may have not won their bowl game, but at least UCF played a tight game that could have gone either way in the Liberty Bowl. USF got blown out of the water in their bowl game! Also, at least UCF has a Conference Championship. As Lagoonwatcherfl said "UCF 10-3 USF 9=4 UCF Confrence Champs enough said."

UCF lost by 7 to MSU who was rated 39th.

USF lost by 35 to O who was rated
35th.

The way I see it...as of right now UCF is a better team!

Except for the fact that UCF has never beaten USF, which last beat UCF by 52. Who's better again?

Let's see,

* UCF never beaten a ranked team
* Lost to USF three years straight this year by 52 yes 52 points
* Lost to a no name team very ugly
* Proved to the world that the fans are obnoxious as USF has said for three years
* Played in the weakest conference, weaker than Sunbelt

Lets remember a few television commeents today:

* Several refrences to Florida's "Big 4 Teams"

* The only team to beat three Conference champions, UCF of course, Sunbelt and Big East

* Great exposure, win or no, because you had two good teams playing each other, unlike the 29th where the radio announcers were laughing!

* Sold out game, nice.

Think what the score would have been if UCF played Oregon, the game would have to be stopped because the drunken UCF fans would have been starting fires before they made it to the parking lot.

Great job USF, so hard to believe it has been only 11 years. Third straight bowl year, another 9 win season, almost 2 full years of games on National television, rankings, respect, you rock.

Remember UF is 14 - 16 in bowl games, some with big margins so what matters is you get the bowl games playing real College Football schedules. Oh yes add Alburn in to the year, mmm.

Hey Kevin, Oregon has a real RB. Perhaps you can get on your knees with a towel for him.

See you for the last time ever in the Fall UCF loosers. Stay in the bubble and jump jump and everything will be fine.

Football is done but we can talk basketball now ;)

Sentinel, nive Headline and coverage you put on the AP article, pathetic.

Here is the rest of the altered AP article, google for actual text of entire article. Shame, shame, shame, USF alumni in Orlando remember this when spending your advertising dollars.
Roper opened the season fifth on the depth chart and ran the scout team until a series of quarterback injuries — none more devastating than the loss of Dixon, a Heisman Trophy hopeful — reshaped the Oregon roster.
Coach Mike Bellotti gave Roper the start over Cody Kempt, another redshirt freshman. Roper responded by tying a Sun Bowl record with four TD passes and finished 17-of-30 for 180 yards passing with no interceptions.
Stewart was just as impressive. He broke a 71-yard TD run late in the second quarter, greeted by an enormous hole off left tackle as he raced untouched to the end zone to give the Ducks an 18-11 lead.
Stewart kept the momentum going after the break. His 41-yard run on Oregon's first drive of the second half set up Roper's second TD pass for a 25-14 lead, and he logged the ninth-best rushing effort in a bowl game.
There was no sign of the turf toe injury that slowed Stewart earlier this season, when Oregon dropped from the national title chase.
South Florida, which reached No. 2 in the country in just its 11th season playing football, missed a chance to win 10 games for the first time.
Grothe left late in the third after being tackled while scrambling.
The 49,867 fans were treated to lots of penalty flags. The teams combined to break the Sun Bowl record for total penalty yardage — 202 penalty yards — and it wasn't even halftime when the old mark fell.
