NFL players are paid too much. The owners are holding all the cards. The nfl can always just start anew with all rookies, and lay off all the current players. Let em work for a living like the rest of us. It would take a year or two for the quality of play to get back to what it was, but it'd be worth it.

Too many teams, Too many mediorce players, Too many mediocre coaches, Too many games, Too much money, Too much entertainment, Too much media, Too much hype, Too much sideshow, Too much ego,........

Not enough PROFESSIONAL football by the BEST......

The NFL is right behind the NBA on it's way to becoming the same as the TV version of "professional wrestling".

It doesnt matter to the players or the owners how we think, what we feel or how it impacts us. If anyone believes that it does, then you need your head examined. Both sides care about how much they could make and how much they can keep from one another. How many skybox suites they can sell. How many endorsements they can represent. The agents are in that group, too.... because they get a big percentage. With that said, they are foolish to leave the fan out. WE buy the tickets, We pay the concessions, We pay the parking, We buy the NFL gear, We even buy the products that result in large endorsements and, we even vote for owners to get our tax dollars to build stadiums that supposedly result in superbowl wins (but never do). WE have a lot of impact, more then we credit ourselves for and definitely more then owners or players even think about. In a twist of fate, it would be nice to see fans form their own union and go on their own strike and not buy the tickets, pay the concessions, the products and not show up at games. I wonder how some of the bellyaching, self serving players would feel having to get a real job, with limited disposable income, a small retirement plan, a small health plan? How would they feel about some fool player going on teh air and bellyaching about a lockout taking away their way of life? The owners, what can i say. They had the money from the beginning....but, like any investment or business....if its not profitable, then it hurts. Both sides in this dispute have it pretty good and have a lucrative existence. My suggestion (wish) is that they shut up, negotiate and move on.

Dolphins players are paid too much and dont produce. The owners are holding all the stool samples. The Miami can always just start anew with all rookies and suck even more, and lay off all the current joke players. Let em work for a living like the rest of us. It would add another 30 years for Miami to "rebuild", but it'd be worth it to watch them continue to be AFC East losers.
