Joey is from my hometown of bakersfield ca and he is going to be great wherever he goes and whoever he goes to is going to be lucky, i predict he will be with lights out in san diego but i'd love for my hometown boy to go to my favorite team the miami dolphins!

Alot of Steeler fans don't agree with the decision to cut him--unfortunately, we have no say in it. It will truly seem strange (and sad) to see him wearing anything but black and gold.

hate to say it but the team will be beter for it. the steelers didn't miss porter when he was out last year. and they will not miss him now that he's gone just like the other 5 probowl linebackers they let go under cower. the big question is how did palamua make probowl last year and w a saftey like A. Smith waiting for playing time, could palamua be next cap casualty?

Troy Polamalu played injured a lot of last season--we're not used to that. Troy is among the top 3 strong safeties in the league when he's healthy. I would hope that we'd do whatever's necessary to keep him, and I've heard nothing yet implying that he might be gone.

I certainly hope we don't have plans to oust Troy! That would be an even bigger blow to our defense. I was reading an article about Hines Ward, and he says that after Joey leaving, he's a little worried about his own status on the team, since he's one of the highest-paid at the moment.

Joey will be missed. Here's an article I was reading that showed what a great guy he truly is.

Great aricle HAS, thanks! I also read in the Post Gazette that negotiations aren't going well with Alan Faneca right now. We've lost enough already, we don't need to lose any more...
