KC would be stupid not to pay LJ. Ladanian got all the praises last year, but LJ ran for more yardage. Priest Holmes may still be very fragile. PAY THAT MAN!!!!!!!!!

LJ has ran the ball so many times, that he may have 3 years left in him and acually as long as Priest Holmes neck checks out fine he is in alot better shape than LJ is. Holmes has had 1 year+ off the recover and is healthy and is stronger than ever and LJ has been punished the last few years. If KC could id trade LJ pronto now, because if Priest is healthy than people will undercut value for LJ knowing they may get him for free after next year as a FA and KC gets nothing for him.

When Priest Holmes went down, LJ stepped in and handled things quite well. He deserves some credit. Yes, Priest was good, but he has also aged. I say again, give LJ what he deserves.

This is no chance of the Packers acquiring LJ, it's just not in the cards. Ted Thompson said as much in his recent interview & press conference in which he stated he likes the young guys that he has on board. He did afterall spend a 2nd round pick to get the RB he wanted, and he will not trade picks for LJ. He is just not worth what he or KC is asking.

gladly... he had the longest td recep of any of the top 30 in recieving yards... he had 1300 yards recieving and 8 tds... so that gives him more tds then chad johnson and roy williams and he only had about 60 yards less then them...and of all the guys the only one to catch more passes then him was marvin harrison... he failed his physical because he was hurt and he still put up them numbers lol... he will get healed and be back and do what he needs to do... the stats dont lie onry... he is top 3 wideout in my book. The thing in my opinion that puts him over the top is the fact that everyone knew he was getting the ball and they still couldnt stop him.

The longest td stat doesn't mean anything, but for argument sake, out of the top 30 in recieving yards: Lee Evans, Javon Walker, Marques Colston, and Mark Clayton had longer TD receptions.

Marvin Harrison, Andre Johnson, and Torry Holt all had more receptions than Driver.

Nine more WRs caught more TD passes than Driver.(five caught just as many).

True, he did have ONE more TD than Chad Johnson, he had 74 yards less than Johnson.

On the other hand, L.J had the second most Tds, and second most rushing yards. You can say he had the most attempts, but he was asked to do it and got it done. In four NFL seasons he has less than half the carries as L.T in his six NFL seasons

as much as i'd love 2 see lj leave the afc west (along with lt for that matter)i don't think it's i wise move 4 the pack.i agree that it would not look good from a loyalty stand point.i also can't see lj carring the pack o by himself and i really don't see that making favre very happy first he doesn't get moss then take driver.he'd have to play another year just to beat marinos record.

The Pack don't need anymore holdout cry-babys like Javon Walker was either. The Pack will be fine with the boys we got. Mo, Miree, Driver, Jennings, and Farve are going to the Soupbowl.

I'd trade DD for LJ in a heartbeat. In less than a heartbeat. Who do we have in our backfield? NO ONE. And sorry folks, Brett is only good when he has a dependable running game. Further, Brett is only good when he has a RB that can catch the ball out of the backfield (remember Dorsey Levens, anyone?). Let's not forget injury plagued backfield of '05. I'm sorry, but on paper, our team looks primed to break that record...in the loss column. Pained Prediction: 3-13.

fine lets say we trade dd for lj... do u really think he is gonna be the lj of last year after having a 400 plus carry season and he hasnt practice yet... then there is the fact that the chiefs always had a good oline and we have a rookie oline... and they had an amazing tightend and he also blocked... we have no tightend... then not to mention we have nooooo passing game whatsoever because of the loss of dd and that will just make teams ride hard on our run game... i dont see how u can give up dd and some draft picks... find a way to keep dd and get lj or u cant make this trade.

I don't think there's a chance in hell we land LJ, but for the sake of argument, if we could, I would in a heartbeat. We're splitting time between Morency and Herron in the backfield, which gives us probably the worst running back tandum in the league. I wouldn't care if LJ had as many as 1200 carries last season. He's still head and shoulders above both those guys put together. Plus, losing DD wouldn't totally kill our passing game. I agree it would detract from it, but if Jennings stays healthy, who knows. I still take a good running attack and a weaker passing attack anyday, especially with interception prone Favre (and don't get me wrong, I love Brett almost more than my fiance, but still, reality is reality). We don't have a tight end...a RECEIVING tight end. Lee can block, and Bubba can just go fuck himself. Finally, we don't have a rookie oline. We did last season. However, good ol Ted Thompson seems to be happy with our oline, manifesting this pleasure in giving, from what I recall, a five year extension to our sophomore center? Correct me if I'm wrong. I hate hanging on to guys for the sake of hanging on to them and that's what Thompson loves to do. This offseason was a joke, and if the Packers could possibly land a RB like LJ, I'd give up anyone on our offense other than Brett to get him.

in all honsety id be willing to part with some draft picks only for the reason of we have a whole team full of new draft picks to add more next year wouldnt exactly bring a care up for me i know draft picks are TT but we have enuf the whole team is a new draft pick so obne year with no 1-3 round i can deal. Not sure i want to but dont get me wrong i like LJ and such but im not sure he is a good fit in our off. and TT will never do it LOL

Well yeah, but you also need a quarterback to throw that receiver the ball. I would make a better qb than who Oakland had last year, and I'm a golfer. Brett's a Hall of Famer. Also, everyone is so high on these rookies (see James Jackson discussion), if they're right, we would still have a couple young studs to catch the ball. A receiving corps is overrated anyway (I point to the New England Patriots of last year, made it to the AFC championship game with...who at receiver? and the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals...great receivers, not a whole lot of wins). But don't worry, even if it were an option TT wouldn't pull the trigger. DD will be in Green Bay for the duration.
