I don't think T. Brady or P. Manning would have faired much better behind that line and with those wepons J.B had last year. I'm not saying he will turn into one of those guys either but I think he will look much better as the team gets better. Remember Troy Aikman and Terry Bradshaws rookie season anyone? So lets wait until we start calling this guy a bust.

I heard the same garbage when Wanny,Speilman, Saban, and Cam Mueller were hired. And John Beck is just terrible. He wont be on the team very long....IMHO. We can count on the first draft pick next year also.

John Beck is a great QB. You can't judge him behind that terrible line and with no RB and bad receivers. That whole team was junk. You can't expect a rookie to come on and make that team great. Build around him and they are a playoff team in three years... if they give him a supporting cast

Let's face it people. The Dolphins were bad as a whole last year. No QB could have led that team to more than 3 wins. They were doomed for a bad year with a Dead QB in Green and then a fight for the position between a rookie and a Cleo Lemon who people forget could not lead the team either. With a better line and some help in the backfield John Beck will be the starter. If he were to struggle beyond repair McCown will lead the team the rest of the way. Henne won't see a snap. I'm not giving up on the guy, He was just mediocre in College. I never saw him as an NFL QB. I was heartbroken when they wasted a pick on him. I agree, They should have used the pick to better the secondary or even the D-line. Bottom line a more improved team and we'll see a whole lot better John Beck leading the team to a ... Mediocre.. Yes... but whole lot better year.

One thing for sure is JB's got work ethic, he was like that in college and it seems he is still like that now. If he gets the chance this season, and he can translate all that practice on to the field then he should be on his way to becoming a great quarterback. Why not? There have been many greats who were never expected (i.e. Montana and Brady). This kid seems to want it pretty bad, and he looks to his past to learn from it...it is only a matter of time.
