He is definiely spread so thin that he looks like a smooth mixture of mashed chickpeas, tahini, oil, lemon juice, and garlic, spread over thin as a dip on middle Eastern bread. He does, in fact, look like Hummus over pita bread and the twinge of West Coast garlic has proven a bit too pungent for South Beach. I did like the Marty Booker London Blitzkrieg sneak attack on 3 and 1. I think that kind of offense is why we needed Trent Green.

Is there any chance that Green can come back. We could use him and I kind of miss him. I really do not want to see that hideous rookie Beck. He must be really bad when he has not even taken one snap. I really do not want to see him.

Fire Cam! or demote him to just an offensive coordinator. It doesn't matter if someone else was brought in to be off-coord and Cam was just the head coach. The problem is his head coaching descisions.

If Cam does not put Beck in for Bufalo game it will show he really is out of the loop and it will be time for him to go.Uncle Wayne should let him make the decision and if he picks the Lemonator he should be fired on the spot. Beck is one of the few hopes we have and at 26 years old we need to play him now. Jenna Jamison was 19 when she was on a double team and look how she turned out, a solid tight end.

You stole my word. You my friend ARE the great Orator.

You got me wrong on Ricky, I'm a huge fan. I also believe that 5 years ago he was the best RB in football. I loved the tandem of he and ronnie brown in '05.

But I don't think he really wants to play football. I think he deserves his freedom already.

If he did play, I'm skeptical he'd be as good as he was 5 years ago. He's not 5 years younger now.

But I could be wrong. I honestly don't think Ricky and the dolphins will ever be again.

this article is garbage. Camerons problems stem from the fact that they do not have any talent. 7 years of wannstadt and saban drafts has left the team with hardly and talent. Wannstadt's tenure was a disaster and should be researched and commented on before anyone gets down on Cameron. take a look at that and give us your report.

if i'm not mistaken, Holmgren, Billick, Gruden, and others all call the plays, and head coach as well. this teams loosing streak isn't on the offence either, they are far more productive now then they where for two seasons under Saban.

I've got no problems with him calling the plays, or giving him the chance to right the ship. But for the love of god, please please PLEASE learn how to manage the f'in clock!

I have to disagree with you. From the very first preseason game one could see disorganization of the team. Examples the team not lining up for the national anthem, how many times has the offense taken time out right after a penalty, commercial, back to back penalties without getting off 1 play. Granted the offense has improved greatly but their is signs that the team is disorganized and non functional in some areas.
I admire him for trying, goosh he must be working 80-90 hours a week trying to get everything right when he has excellent coaches who should be doing more. Maybe some coaches shouldn't be on the staff. The Chambers trade with Hagen taking over looks like it turned out OK.

why do they keep bring up the play from the 2 yard line, if you had watched the game it was clearly a run called, cleo just bobbled the ball. it was cleo mistake for not throwing it outtta the back of the endzone, but then again he was running for his life at the time. so get over it, it was a freakn busted run play.

Ethan, you make a persuasive argument.

I've been rooting for Cam since the hiring process began. But he sure is making a lot of rookie mistakes as our coach.

One, he has no gift for PR. He has not been forthcoming with the fans and the media since Day One. When he picked Ginn over Quinn, he had a PR nightmare on his hands. He has not recovered since.

He talks in coach's double-speak with saying anything relevant. As each loss mounts, he has begun to talk in riddles and is unable to clearly state his case.

He is poorly handling the transition to Beck. He seems to have a stubborn streak that is preventing him from seeing the long-term vision, that the more experience Beck gets this season, the quicker he masters the game. Coddling is stupid when the season is already history.

It would be wise if Cam would face the fans and the media this week and outline exactly what his vision is. Right now, I sense so much anger on these boards by fans who are becoming so frustrated with the way things are going. He has a PR nightmare going, and he needs to reassure fans that he has a master plan and tell us what that is.

Monday morning quaterbacking? I think yes, the guy has been here for one half season and were looking for reasons.
Why not tell the truth? Saban saw it, and left. The other couldn't correct it, the machine has been messed up for years. We finally have someone that can fix it and were looking for reason of not winning. It took as I see it 6-7 years to get this way and want it fixed in one half season.
Sit back and enjoy the ride all your talking, looking and pointing fingers isn't going to get it done any quicker, so learn how to rebuild a NFL team. WATCH

The man is an offensive coordinator and an offensive coach. Let him call the plays....hire a real coach with charisma and the ability to communicate with the people a coach has to relate and communicate with. This guy needs a charisma transplant. He puts you to sleep just by standing there on the sideline.

The best available man to take over the Dolphins Offensive Coordinator job may well already be in house.

He’s also a guy that under the steady guise of OJT should be, I’m quite sure, more than willing for Head Coach, Cam Cameron to call all of the plays Sundays.

And he’s a guy that already knows the offense, the players and especially the Head Coach.

It’s also a move that, God Willing, may well prevent him from talking in excess multiple syllables in his declining years.

Man, I’d give Trent Green the OC job right now!!

He did not call a pass at Giants 2 - it was a running play - guard was pullihng on a trap, and the ball shot up through Lemon's habd and he was forced to run since timimg shot. Now the pass from Green to Peele for a score wasn't a rollout- high percentage, it was a prayer? While I would have liked to see some things turn out differently, hidsight is 20/20 - if we throw a TD pass against Texans instead of incomplete, Cam's a hero- confusing play call with execution on a few of these examples.

Lets give the man another year. The offense is steadily improving. Lets give Cameron time to learn from his mistakes.
How well did most of you people do on your first 8 days of a new job? I'm sure you made a few mistakes.

6-7 years to get this way ??
Look back .. Ever since the early 80's Super Bowl slaughter Miami never came back ... Sure Marino was impressive, stacked up a bunch of stats for himself .. but the team never went anywhere.. Then Big H. bought the team .. Shula went out J.J. came in ... Marino and J.J. out and Whinney came in and on and on ..
Wheres the fix ?? Thats going to be a tough one ... So far it sure looks like the Cam is way over his head on a good day .. In SD he stepped into a functional offense and it made him look good .. Here he's in the weeds .. It looks like its going to take someone with some debth and strength to straighten out the mess .. Those guys are out there .. But do you think they would be available to Big Wayne and his Dolphins ?? Hard to say .. Seems like when Big Wayne goes shopping .. Nothing seems to be available ..
So is the end near ? Not with the Cam alone...

Ethan, that was not a pass call at the Giants' 2 so much as it was a poor snap that Lemon improvised (albeit poorly i.e. did not throw it out of bounds). I don't have access to the game film, but the TV commentator mentioned seeing a pulling Guard on the play, and surmised that it had to have been a run play that featured a poor snap.

So, assuming he's correct, we can let Cam off the hook for that one.. but it's true, the other examples you gave were valid...

And hey, he may be stretched thin, but would you have trutsed Malarkey to call the plays again, after last year? Maybe next year Cam'll find some relief...

Good article Ethan. I have seen an improvement on Offense this year. The playcalling and clock mgmt have been a problem all year. Maybe he is trying to do to much by himself. Still get a new Defensive Coordinator and an offense Co, and we can be on our way next year anyway. P.S. If Beck is not the answer, ryan from BC could be the next Marino.....
