Brad has been a true pro throughout his career, and we wish him the best as he moves forward," Childress said in a prepared statement released by the club. "Brad was an important part of the team and a guy who led by example on and off the field. He's a class act and a guy younger players could learn a lot from about what it takes to play in the NFL." Coach Cameron if if come down to picking up a QB that still has the ability to be a starting QB over 30 and that has won a super bowl as the starting QB when the team got there, the Defense and handing off to a running back that Tampa had and a good WR Keyshawn Johnson also named MVP for the Super Bowl did not hurt Brad Johnson still can Play in the NFL he has the leadership that young players can learn from to make it in the NFL.
Trent Green does have a super bowl ring, but did not play in the super bowl he was on IR when the Rams won the Super Bowl ! Don't let Brad Johnson's age get in the way of signing him he is a great example in the NFL.
just because a qb won a superbowl dosen't mean that he's any good. would you like trent dilfer.......he won a superbowl. they need to draft a fresh young player and teach him how to play in the nfl. all you guys think the grass is greener on the other side. we have no starting qb....the ones in free angency suck. we need to draft. it's that simple. there is no quick fix here guys.

well i don't think it's a good idea. i also don't see a starter on the team right now. if we go with culpepper or lemon then our season will turn out like a lemon. if we draft then it's a few years till he developes unless we get lucky and they turn out to be a quick study. i guess that i would draft someone and throw him in the fire right away and hope he learns fast. there is no quick fix for this team. If you need a Quick learning QB Brad Johnson is the only QB I can see to get this team turned arond Lemon will do good as Johnson's Back up or even Culpepper would be a good back up for Brad until Culpeppers knee comes around Don't let Johnson's age get in the way of signing him also younger players can learn what it takes to make it in the NFL from Brad Johnson!
Bobbi Nockow....I'm now convinced you're either married to Brad Johnson or you're delusional. Johnson is no more responsible for Tampa's SB win than you or I. Green is a china doll and too old and another band-aid. And by the way...Culpepper spells his name with only 1 E at the end.

I'd rather have a healthy Veteran QB than someone that has to learn on the Job training as the starting QB Dauntee Could be the answer or even if the Dolphins have to trade with the Vikings for Brad Johnson who has won a superbowl with the Buccanners and Trent Green has also had the exprecience of winning a ring as Brad Johnson has had the difference between both QBS is Brad Johnson played in the Super Bowl and Trent Green was on IR when the Rams won the Super Bowl with Dick Vermell as their Head Coach
Coach Cameron don't let Brad Johnson's age get in the way of signing him who has a solid arm, that can get the Dolphins back on top as a winning organization that we once upon a time were Dolphins need some stabality at QB especially if Dauntee Culpepper is not 100% by the end of Preseason Dauntee Culpepper was rushed back to soon after knee replacement 2 seasons ago and was not ready to start last season! That was Coach Saben's fault for listening to the Dolphins Medical staff and making the trade instead of signing Drew Brees when he was a Free Agent
Johnson is a good example for young players for on and off the field as well as being a good leader on offense which the Dolphins need

Ha, I knew ou guys down there in Miami can't take the heat, Its been so long since you have had a championship team. Why Wayne won't let me get new line, cornerbacks wide redeivers and finally an original young draft pick is beyond me. Sorry Wayne but had to split on bad terms but hey its your team, you go right ahead and screw it up for all of Miami. If I was still around in Miami I would have picked a star QB and kept him there so he could repalce the old aging Danny boy. Peace out hanging in Alabama land now...It is really hot though. Say hello to my friends at Hot Dog Heaven, they are the best
Saben you had Wayne's checkbook to go out there and sign whoever you needed to turn the Dolphins into a winning orgainzation but you did not do your job admit it Nick

Here's a rank order of possible scenarios in rank order of how effective I think they would be for helping our team.

1. DO NOTHING and try to get a QB in the draft. If not Brady Quinn with the 9th pick, take Drew Stanton in the 2nd or 3rd round.

2. Coax Marino out of retirement for one more year to preserve his TD pass record from the Favre assault.

3. Sign recently released Brad Johnson to a cheap free agent contract. He at least won a Super Bowl and we would keep ALL of our draft picks.

4. Try to Coax Steve Young or Troy Aikman out of retirement.

5. Trade for Trent Green, but ONLY if we do it in exchange for unloading Ricky Williams.

6. Give up no better than a 6th round draft pick for Trent Green.

7. Where's Ryan Leaf?

hey Coach Caremon Dolphins need to draft a QB and tell either Dauntee Culpepper or Cleo Lemon to pack his bags if you go out on free agency and get the leadership the Dolphins @ QB Brad Johnson has been in the NFL for the last 15 years Brad can also teach the younger players how to make it in the NFL.it would be good to have such a leadership on the Dolphins Orgainazation.
We had to give up #2 and #4 for QB Trades last season at least if we sign Brad Johnson he is not going to cost us a draft pick like if we get Trent Green from the Cheifs it could cost us a player and a draft pick for either this year or next year !

Johnson has the leadership that the offense is lacking also Brad Johnson can teach younger players how to make it in the NFL! Good luck turning around this organazation around back to a winning organazation you will need all the luck and best wishes Dolfans wish you

You have already been caught out by your contributions to the Marlins BLOG as an obnoxious New York implant of the very worst kind.

I am not going to say don't contribute - I will not stoop to your pathetic level of narrow mindedness - but if you do SAY SOMETHING!!

If all you can come up with is mindless S. Florida sports hatred bile then do us all a favor and just shut up. Every second we spend reading your current so called "contributions" is a second of our lives wasted.

First of all...I'm not a New Yorker... I'm a Floridian having lived here for 18 years. You probably haven't met anyone who lives in N.Y. because you have the brains and personality of a typical "Miami Dolfan". While we're on the subject of New York versus New Jersey, last I checked Dolphin Stadium isn't located in "Miami"...so what's your point Moron? The only truth you tell is that you most likely are a "Phatfinfan"...but i think it's spelled FAT!! get a life you tub of lard.

It's called being a "sports fan" I have the right to post on any forum just like you do. By the way, my suggestion of Vinny T makes as much sense as many of the other suggestions given by the whinny, ignorant Dolfans on this forum. What exactly does caught out mean? Gee I'm so scared!

Exactly what have YOU contributed to the forum?... Yeah that's what I thought. Your life was wasted when you opened your eyes as the doctor spanked your butt. Anytime you wish to challenge my comments go right ahead... In the meanwhile...continue on with your waaaaaaa...waaaaaa....waaaaa!

Quite profound respose there Andrew. Did your mommy help you log in to type that lol? What does being a sports fan have to do with the lifestyle of a certain city? I love the Jets, not New York. The problem with most Dolfans is that they never have a logical answer, nor can they debate facts. All they can do is say "go back to NY". Funny when you hear from a Dolfan in Kansas City, you don't tell thhem to mind their business and root for KC. Why is that? Its cuz Dolfans blow it out of both sides of their mouths.

Which team has kicked the 'fins butts for many years in a row now? Who won the season series this past year? Who won the greatest Monday night Comeback in history? uhhh.....was that the Jets? If you're stating your facts correctlt, that must mean the Dolphins suck worse than we thought!

At least it is in the same state. I love it, the "fat" comment was great, do you want to call me "four eyes" because I have glasses? Goof tactic: No football knowlege so I'll pick on your weight. Next time try a "your momma" joke, those really liven up the party. Go back to N.Y., make sure to drink lots of the water up there.
