We have 2 solid QBs in Boller and Smith. Keep Mcnair to be their mentor. Cameron will do just fine with Boller and Troy. We have enough talent in this team and the newly hired coaches look good and determined. I also think Brian Brohm from Louisville is gonna be available at # 8 and he's one heck of a QB. He's definitely better than Matt Ryan and that's a fact.

The Ravens should wait a year before drafting a QB in the high rounds. Give Troy Smith a chance, he has a hugeeeeee upside and with a better offensive line, his height wouldnt be such a factor. He could be a Drew Brees like player.

And Brian Brohm better then Matt Ryan? That is definlty not a fact, far from it.

WOW. That article clearly shows how little this guy knows about football. The game is won-lost in the trenches. If we have a quality OL, then Cameron will figure out a way to make the offense work with the QBs we have. With that said, I am all in favor up upgrading the position if we can, but not with Lemon.

evidently neither randy or bmore chris saw my 1st post. randy is right everyone in here is a race-a-phobic. you cant mention the word "black" or youre a racist no matter how innocent your comment may be. thats why announcers dont have the balls to say it cause they know they wil get fired.

Wow, give me some of what you have been consuming or are you Kyle Boller? LOL. Boller is always going to be know for precisely what he is, and that is one of the top 25 biggest first round QB busts of all time. No pocket presense, happy feet, inaccurate, and terrible under pressure or even at going through his progressions and reading a defense. He may have had the physical tools but I have never seen a QB drafted with so much promise have so few of the intangibles necessary to succeed. His hyper personality doesn't help either. He is what he is, and that is a mediocre below average NFL QB. I don't even want him as a backup on my team.
Steve Young. Tampa Bay. Looked like a rabbit.

Young's record as starter was 3-16. In his 19 games over two years, he threw for only 11 touchdowns with 21 interceptions while completing fewer than 55% of his passes. That is rounghly comparable or maybe worse than what Boller did.

Boller is already signed so Cameron would be nuts to cut him before having a chance to evaluate him.

Huge upside? You are crazy. What has he done? The guy is going to be a long term backup, nothing more. He is a joke as a full time starter. He will run around and make a few plays and that's it. No one ever wins the Super bowl with a pint sized guy who runs around. Get real, loser.

Missed that one about Johnson, Kevin. That's exactly who I was talking about. He could be a steal. A little undersized (although he is listed at 6'3", he is only about 200 lbs). He needs to hit the weightroom, but I agree he could be had in the later rounds, although his stock and profile probably went up with his performance in the East-West Shrine game. I am sure Jimmy H. will give his brother his honest take on the guy and I won't be surprised if the Ravens give him a hard look. Any team has to when you put up those kind of numbers. That's a sign of a guy who makes great decisions and just "gets it," and based on what my colleague saw with his own eyes, he agrees.

The Dolphins best shot at QB would no doubt be Trent Green. Sure, he'll be 38, and hasn't been too successful the last couple years, but hey, who else could the put in there? Lemon? Don't think so. Beck? Yeah, maybe in a year or two. But this is now, not "a year or two". I think Trent Green could still be the amazing QB he was in Kansas City.

No, the Ravens are fine at quarterback. McNair's a hall of famer, and he's still got gas in the tank. Accept that the team might start 2-6 next year, and aim to end the season 6-2 and all will be fine. Start McNair if he's healthy, or Boller otherwise (he can manage 2-6, even though he's really a career backup) and expect to bring Smith in mid-season if McNair hasn't gotten healthy. Devote the first day's picks to O-line and receivers. Baltimore's in good shape really. Expect a 12-4 season two years from now.

5th round pick!!! Good God man! Not much left around after the 4th or the 5th draft pick going forward. As far as I'm concerned BB pick Smith because he was the H. Trophy winner. But beling the 5th pick for a QB means none or not many teams think he's all that good. And neither do I. Another BB mistake.
Really?

Drafted in 6th Round:
Brady, Bulger, Matt Hasselbeck, Anderson.
Undrafted: DelHomme, Garcia, Warner, Romo

See anyone who could start for the Ravens?

Boller has shown slow, but steady improvement year by year.

Regardless of the QB though, we need a better offensive line to pass and run block. That's the real issue here.

oh so Troy smith is not a bonafide quarterback....what the h*** is a bonafide quarterback.....oh you mean like alex smith, tim couch, ryan leaf, todd blackledge, todd marinovich, chris redman, kyle boller, drew hensen, andrew walters and now brian brohm and matt stiff ryan...etc....why dont you just say white....same old racism that has denied great black quarterbacks opportunitys for years....Smith has already proved he's far superior to Boller with his pocket presence, desicion making and mobility.Brohm and Ryan are more overhyped bust please hold me to this statement... I have'nt forget all the past BS.

Give it a rest. It has nothing to do with race. You're a prisoner in your own mind. Maybe, just maybe, the black coaches out there Right Now are not as qualified as the white coaches??? I guess that's impossible though, right???
The burden of restraint was too much for him.
