The fans are solidly on the side of management in this case. We don't take to "pretty boys" (except for Sizemore) in this town especially if you haven't proven anything yet.

The press is solidly on the side of management in this case too. Unfortunately, management will have a lot of egg on its face if it trades next year's first (probably a top ten) for a quarterback who never signs. Condon's in the catbird's seat.

I can't help but remember everyone feeling sorry for Brady Quinn on Draft Day as team after team passed over him in the draft. He finally gets drafted by his hometown team and he claims what a dream come true. Now, he is all about money - money that he doesn't deserve. Shame! Shame! Shame and Shame again!

Hopefully Crennel will do a Denny Green impression, not the Cards/Bears melt down one, but the one where he calls out Matt Leinhart in public to get his behind on the team and a few days later, Matt Signed.

I was on the Quinn bandwagon when they drafted him and noone was happier than I at his being drafted. This holdout has since changed my mind Quinn is not only hurting his chances at starting now he is hurting his credability with the fans he is quickly losing all those who where in his corner he needs to sign and sign fast or his career in cleveland will be dismal.

Isn't everyone being a little hard here. Be patient with the future of the franchise. It may seem like a big deal now, but five years from now when the Browns have a reliable, franchise quarterback with years of experience, will you really complain that he missed a WHOLE WEEK of training camp in his rookie year? It seems kind of petty. Let the deal get done then cheer for the Browns because the future looks bright. As long as Quinn is staying in shape and working to better himself, then this situation really isn't so tragic.

If Quinn comes to camp, performs well, gets on the field and wins the starting job...Fine...He gets one part of his incentive...In order for him to get more cash...he must be like superman....cause right now he is hiding behind is agents cape.

The worst part about this holdout? Everybody knew it was coming. Brady always said he wanted to get in on time and that it was important for him to be here, all the while knowing he wasn't. The Browns have proven they will give out extremely generous contracts, however, they are not going to blow the slotting system out of the water. As important as it is to get Brady into camp, it would be fiscally irresponsible to give in to Tom Condons, bullying techniques. I get so tired of NFL Players talking about how they are holding out so they can provide for their family. What on earth makes him think he is better than the thousands of players that have been drafted and slotted before him. I think we are talking about 8 million dollars for 4-5 years of work(Poor Brady). If he becomes the Browns starting quarterback in the next few years and is as good as we all hope him to be, the Browns will pay him what he is worth, period. The Browns have always been known as team that will take care of the players they value. So stick to your guns Phil and if he doesn't sign until the season starts so be it. We will be competitive with or without him! GO BROWNS!!!

Difference is Joe.....
Sizemore is a consummate professional and team player. Did you read about him? He's every coach's DREAM. A great player who just loves the game and has next to no ego and just wants to be part of something. And my feeling about that is, when you get a kid like that, you take care of him big time. Beat out his expectations for pay, bennies, etc.

Quinn.... man, I am disappointed. All that talk.... and no walk.

Shouldn't be a surprise though. Condon's his agent. Look up his track record with his players.

Now here's a little prediction/wager....
Remember when San Diego got Phillip Rivers? All of a sudden, the next year, Drew Brees comes out and just comes into his own. Rivers sits on the bench.... while San Diego gets angry with this overpaid benchwarmer.

History has a tendency to repeat itself.

Quinn is a money hungry pig. Mangement stick to your guns. I wouldn't offer him another dime. I watched him on draft day and he was so disappointed, Oh well. You wasn't that good on draft day and your really no good now.

quinn should get on his knee's and thank the man above for the opportunity he has granted him, and the money and status that goes with it. there are a million young men who would love to throw the pigskin in the nfl, and this ungrateful bum is worried only about himself and his money. remember brady: a fool and his money will soon be parted.

The Browns might have a franchise quarterback in five years -- but it won't be Brady Quinn. He'll be sitting on the sidelines as a backup QB somewhere, carping about how his tenure with the Browns ruined his career. He is the next David Carr.

This Quinn drama should not even be an issue. If Savage was/is so worry about his defensive line, why would he trade all of those draft picks for a quarterback? The Browns would have been better off keeping their picks and drafting a defensive lineman in the 3rd and 4th round.

How many good quarterbacks are coming out next year that they could have probably drafted with their 1st pick if they hadn't traded it away???

I think they should cut their losses and let the guys who want to play show what they have. Who does Quinn think he is to be holding out like he is a seasoned veteran? He has NO NFL expirience at all, and has not proven anything. There is a reason he slipped from #3 to #22, and that woudl be performance. He is lucky Im not the GM, because I would have told him to hold out somewhere else. Play for the game Brady, not the money!

i'm tired of people blaming quinn for this. all savage had to do was to keep his nouth shut on draft day when he said they had quinn rated in the top five. but now the fans and savage are paying for his big mouth, and quinns agent is trying tio take advantage of this resulting in the hold out.
