You guys remember Edward Jennings who fired Earle Bruce right before the MI game in 1987? That was not the right move. OSU won't do that again.

I Believe the real answer is to send Tp to the CFL. He would look real impressive in that kooky scheme they play up there. Better yet maybe that punk in Brampton, CA will take him in an nurture him.

What a non-issue. Any BCS ranking that has BSU ranked that high cannot be considered an accurate reflection on the true quality of college football teams.

The bottom line is, if the Buckeyes win out, they will be in the Rose Bowl. Why does anyone care?

The dust is where they belong. Were far over rated to beging with.
Same ol' Ohio State. Same ol' Lil' Ten field position football.
Pretend each other are good teams and live within that Lil' Circle.
Stay in the circle for safety! The speed game of today will again leave you in the dust!

The buckeyes have about the same chance of winning out as peace in the middle east

They left them in the dust because they stink! Cincinnati would crush these losers! Cincinnati is number #5 in the country and #1 in Ohio. UC is exciting to watch, has a great QB unlike the luckeyes and has a coach who can make adjustments. GO BEARCATS!!!

The Speed of Morgan Trent catching Percy Harvin as Michigan sends you home crying? The SEC actually has a losing record to the Big 10 as a whole but yet makes comments about us. It's best you don't make fun of ya Masta, I think Metallica has advice for you. Obey your Masta, Masta, Masta. LOL

Just to let ya know...I'm an alum of Ohio State. I just recognize bad, conservative football when I see it. I'm tired of seeing it! I've watched it for years! I'd bet much longer than you.
Winning championships today requires an attack style of offense.....not the trenches, field position football that Tressell insists on standing on. He said it himself!
Our defense doesn't know how to stop teams like that.
So, what is YOUR answer to the terrible play by the Buckeyes?
We were told last year that Ohio State had "THE" team to run for the national championship. The Buckeyes again, got their azzes wiped!
Also, because of Ohio State's bad reputation, their quarterback recruiting is suffering badly. Look it up.
I think Tressell is a possession freak. He wants all the glory....if there is any.
He's old school Ohio football that does not do well outside of the Lil' Ten Conference.
How do you explain a supposed #7 team getting beat by a 1-5 team? You explain it by admitting Ohio State did not belong in the top 20! It's all about money where the teams get rated.
OHIO STATE SUCKS! AND I SAY THAT AS ONE FROM OHIO STATE! Don't insult me with the childish Tebow comments. Oh....I'll go on record however, by saying that Florida will indeed continue to be a top contender. So will Alabama, LSU, and other teams that run attack football offences.

You seem to have all the answers. Yea, fire your head coach in the middle of the season. Thats sure to attract the elite coaches to this program. OSU alum rattled off a list of all the top coaches and you said you are not particularly intrigued by those suggestions. Who then are these big time coaches you are talking about interviewing for the job? You cant name one because you dont know, just here to spew ignorance. By the way Tressel did not come from D2.
well, canuck fool, if you knew me, you'd know what a humble person i am, and how proud i am of that!
HEH.
i never claim to have all the answers. i know better than that - i'm married to a woman who already knows everything.
my ONE suggestion for a replacement is someone i mentioned several weeks ago - Fresno State's Pat Hill (not a big time coach, yet, D-1). the bulldogs are having a rough season this year, but they've had much success in recent years. Hill's style of football is not outrageously risky, yet, neither is it as conservative as tressel's. it was merely a suggestion.
i said i wouldn't be interested in seeing any coaches mentioned in osualum's post. you took great umbrage to my opinion. others have mentioned big time coaches in John Gruden, Jeff Fisher (if available), and several others. those were the big time coaches i refered to.
tressel came from D-2 Youngstown State.
i really don't care WHEN tressel is fired. just FIRE him. the damage is done. he cannot merely move over to the A.D. because no incoming coach would want that. the longer he stays, the more damage is done, in my OPINION.
'YEA', we can still have individual opinions in this country. you liberals, in all of your inglorious ignorance, will NEVER legislate a man's thoughts.

I dont know why this shows me being in Canada, born and raised Buckeye. I think Hill would be a good choice. Gruden and Fisher??? You fire a coach midseason and any coach would be wondering what they would be getting into. No good coach is going to want to go into a situation like that. Youngstown State not D2 and me far from liberal. Oh, by the way, I am married to one of those also.

ysu IS div 1-AA. you're correct, and i'm mistaken. i don't get the difference between div 1-AA, and div 2. then there's a div-3....?

i know that whatever i think is immaterial to the leadership at The OSU A.D.
i know there would be someone with legitimately impressive coaching credentials who can recognize a program in trouble, and is prepared to come into an already ****** up situation regardless of what time of year it is. PREFERABLY well before season end, and beginning of recruiting season (although that's now a year-round effort).
