Is anybody really surprised?
Teams, coaches, GMs, execs. don't give a damn about the player character. As long as they help teams win.
The whole Ben Roethlisberger situation is just grand-standing for the NFL commish. Roethlisberger was simply stupid enough to push his luck; he was getting away with a lot before he forced the hands of the commissioner.
By the way, I quit going to games about 10 years ago. I figured these criminals/players don't give a damn about how much people sacrifice to buy tickets and watch them play at the stadium.
I don't even watch it that much on TV. I don't feel comfortable living in my own skin feeling like I'm idolizing criminals/thugs.
I'm free from my days as a sucker!
Sorry NFL -- You've had 1 less customer for the past decade (not that you give a damn, anyway).
