Simms and Losman are not upgrades. Good Rex would be the same thing, and at a far cheaper price. Angelo needs to get his ego out of his backside and brekl apart his over-priced defense.

Trade Urlacher and Tommie Harris to the Cardinals for Anquan Boldin and their No. 1 draft pick. Go for D in the first round. Bolding would make Forte, Olsen/D.Clark, Hester and Orton all better. He wants out of AZ. The Bears have the pieces to make it happen. Urlacher has a home in AZ. Tommie Harris will never be the same as he was in his first two years.

It might help a quarterback to have some of the same and better receivers stay around for awhile. The Bears have consistently let the best go and many of them have become go to guys with their new teams. Look at what some of the top QB/WR tandems that stay together for teams have acommplished, Brady-Moss, Delhomme-Smith etc.

The best QB in the world doesn't make a bit of difference if he has nobody to throw to. When a lummox of a tight end like Greg Olsen is your go-to guy in a passing situation, then a quarterback should not be your first priority.

How many times did Bears receivers DROP passes or actually get hit in the body by the ball???? Give Orton some receivers that were not cut by other teams (booker, loyd) and maybe they will catch the ball.

Jerry Angelo is on crack! Give Orton somebody who can catch, like maybe a true #1 or even #2 receiver. When da Bears are thought of, defense always comes to mind. The defense is a mess. Get Forte a good backup or "compliment" HB. Solidify the O Line. We're good with Orton if he gets some support around him. Develop Caleb Haney, and draft a QB late on the 1st day or early on the second. First and foremost, fix the defense!

Maybe Orton would have done better had Angelo actually done his homework and not drafted a tackle in the first round that was so injured that he never put on a uniform for one day during training camp. What a sucker. Its Angleo who should go along with that cue ball-headed fool of a coach.

Lummox? He's a graceful player, and always available and gracious to the sportswriters and broadcasters.
Your comment makes little sense.

Mr Angelo read the comments to this article. For wvwryone who commented here there are thousands thinking the same thing. The number one problem with the Bears is not at Quarterback. It's that the GM does not know what the number one problem with the Bears really is. It is very obvious that the top priority for the Bears should be to upgrade at the GM position.

Orton,Olsen,Urlacher,Harris there all fine! Get rid of Tillman&Vasher or move them to Safety and put Graham & Sleitz (wrong spelling) on the corners and get a good reciver for him! Do we need an Old McNag?And we also need to get rid of Bobo the Defensive Clown, Bring in Rod and watch this D-line wake up! Yes a friend of Lovies but not a Yes man and He Does Speak out at his players

Are you out of your mind?!?! Get a rookie, Da Bears hare going to have an okay draft pick, trade down in the draft with say the Packers and get the kid from GA, Texas Tech, or Oklahoma. Get a young guy with a strong arm who fits the mold of an NFL QB! Stick with him, give him an offensive line that protects him. Trade for Plaxico Burress and since he only catches touchdowns, throw him the *&^% Ball!! The only other alternative you've got is put a number 7 on his shirt and sign Michael Vick!

Is this a joke? Vasher at Saftey? Steltz at Corner? Have these guys ever indicated any sort of ability to play either position?

Urlacher and Harris fine? You must not have seen any games the last 2 years. Let me fill you in. They suck. Really badly.

Did you see who back's up Eli Manning in NY? David Carr looked really good. He was a victim of a bad expansion project. Good arm and very mobile. He would be great in a Bears uniform!
Happy New Years! Cheers

Angelo is a proven idiot. If he had not wasted all those draft picks there would not be so many areas of need. And having done so, he now wants to waste more time and money on a position that is not the "most broke". Typical Angelo stupidity.

A key question: Should this team be exploded & rebuilt from the ground up, or merely fine tuned?

And what about the wide receivers? The Bears have one (Devin Hister) who might be a #3 receiver on other teams. Just about all the others who were here last year are playing for other teams in the playoffs this year.

The defensive secondary needs addressing, too. Mike Brown, bless him, should not be brought back, and the corners are unreliable considering all the money thrown at them. The rest of the defense will be fine with better coaching and game strategy.

The offensive line is another year older, too. What's going to happen there?

Orton might be better off leaving Chicago and playing for a team that actually wants him. Let's bring in McNabb at the tail end of his career and put him behind a shaky line with no receivers and see how he does.

Kyle Orton is a tool... no better than a High School QB. Completely worse than average... 24th rated! thats the best we can do? I think Angelo is absolutely right! I wont watch them the same as many wont watch them if Orton is considered to be the only option at QB
