I would welcome C.Wood back to the blackhole. He brings something not too many CBs in the league can bring, big game experience, &a knowledge of the game from playing at a very high level for a very long time. I believe tho Huff had the physical tools, he lacked the mental part of the game necessary to make the plays when the defense dictates it. Woodson is accustom to making those plays like a 1st rounder that lived up to the hype. Playing FS willdefinitely take away options like Gates & other play making TEs. Woodson has the physicality , technique, & enough speed to shutdown this new era of TEs. That would allow DA to dictate the defense to the most struggling DB. Depending on the D-line play, but if they played average & we get C Wood, we could be a top 5 defense. Remember I said it! I think we were a top 10 defense without Woodson, but given the fact that he'll definitely make more plays than Usama Young, that catapults the defense dramatically. Now Manning, Rivers, & Smith will have to be us honestly on the outside. No more safety valve TE dump offs & our linebackers are good enough to make it hard on QBs with RB swing passes. It will be interesting to see if RM is willing to make this move or not! Imagine Hayden with his skill set being taught the nuances by Woodson. It'll be like we drafted Charles Woodson all over again, but more mature having almost lost the game he loves so much along with his life before it even really got started. Hayden definitely has a different respect & appreciation for the game. Now Reggie, go get his mentor!

It's called letting bygones be bygones! Sometimes you have to bite your pride & do what's best the best interest of the team. There is no FA that will have a bigger impact on the team than Woodson. No D-lineman, nobody. It can only help the team if he's done physically, but can mentor the young DBs like Hayden, Young, Adams, Ross, & even teach technique to Porter & Jenkins. You're still holding grudges for a mutual disagreement that happened years ago. It's bigger than that bro!

I AGREE! i gree with the way wiscRAIDER feels about charles woodson! and with good reason! but i gotta say, woodson will help a great deal here if oakland wants to look tough with their wins. he will be a great mentor. specially with hayden, the other rookies and even some of the veterans like porter! njRAIDER 1, say's let bygone's be bygone's, i wouldn't do that for randy moss but for a needed player at this position with a player like c woodson? ya gotta say yes!

RAIDERS of 2013!!!
