Brady realizes that demanding too large a salary takes up valuable cap space as the Broncos will soon find out with Peyton Manning and leave them vulnerable at positions they will not be able to afford to upgrade.

Peyton Manning has done this 3 times. This really isn't as uncommon as the author of the article makes it sound. Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Philip Rivers have all restructured their contracts to make more cap room.

And, make no mistake, Brady isn't losing ANY money. The money he would have been paid through the season just becomes bonus money next spring. This is exactly what happened with Manning, and why he had such a huge bonus ($28 million) come due in March of this year.

Brady can keep deferring hs salary, but at some point the Pats are going to have to pay him all that deferred salary, and it's going to be a whopper!

Brady has been the highest paid player IN THE LEAGUE on two different occasions. His salary is typically the second or third highest paid to QBs in the league. That's why he has to keep restructuring his contract.

And, as I stated above, he's not losing any money. The Pats are just shuffling money from one bucket to another. Brady will still get every cent of his original contract paid to him.

These players that do this SHOULD get all their money due to them. A deal is a deal when you sign on the dotted line, especially in contract negotiations. However, they aren't earning interest, I would assume.

They are good representatives for their sport.

You guys realize that this is comparable to getting paid under the table, right? No way is he only getting paid one million.

He should be the highest paid QB.

If he fails to gain a Super Bowl win this year, it will be interesting how this affects the salary cap in the future.

I Agree...They're Just Back-Loading His Salary....He wouldn't Have To Do This If The League Would let Coach Bill Cheat Again....

So, you're come here to a Pats' forum to rip on them any way you possibly can, and THAT'S all you got? Sounds pretty rucking lame at this point in time.

Why don't you just go to "Location Hidden's" forums? That is if it HAS an NFL team, of course.

ps: yeah, we are proud of their 3 SB wins. Thanks for bringing it up.

And I wasn’t Ripping The Pats....{Per say}....I was Mentioning What Actually Happened.....It’s Not Like I was Making Shit up about Them.....And I suppose It May Sound Lame.....But It’s {Still} The Truth....
And I could Go To a Location Hidden Forum To Post......And Just So You Know....They {Do} Have an NFL Team There....But They’re Not Very Good.....They Made It To a Superbowl Once....But They Lost....Turns Out....They Other Team Was Cheating.....Life’s Funny I guess....It’s No Big Deal....I don’t Pull For Them Anyway....
I will Say This Though....If I was Building an NFL Team....Brady Would Be My Starting QB....He’s Better Than Manning....Always Has Been.....
ok ... you're "off the hook" for now, only because I have teams that I root for that don't make it either.

Agree ... Brady IS the man (bias I admit) but he needs protection.
