DE James Is Ready For Debut With Team

The Redskins are faced with the un-enviable position of having to make their play-off run at the beginning of the season instead of the end. Their schedule dictates they must win three of the first four games or consider the season awash. Jim Zorn has the toughest test as a head coach from day one! I dare to predict that if Coach Zorn can start the season with comfortable 3-1 record he will be confirmed as the coach the Skins have been seeking all these years and maybe be annoited as the next Bill Walsh.

Right now, as a fan, I am happy with what I am seeing from my Skins. I think the defense can and will play better than they have so far this pre-season. I think Jason Campbell will having a surprising if not break out year. What worries me is the lack of impact by the rookie class. They have failed to prepare themselves for the rigors of the NFL and it shows in the injuries they have suffered. I am especially talking about the recievers. I expected, and I think the coaches did too, that at least one would challenge for a starting position. Sadly not so. In addition I think Carlos Rogers is slowing becoming a bust. He has had plenty of time to develop and should be a respected corner approaching his first Pro Bowl. This is far from the case. Ok we'll give him this season but I doubt he will do much this season and will probably be released before the next season.
The Skins have a solid core of veterans that lead that should lead into the play-offs. Expect a run for the division title and the team to be angry about the lack of respect and expectations from a nation of Cowboy loving sports writers.
