I certainly understand that luck is a part of football. Playing good in the first half and getting drubbed in the second half three weeks in a row doesn’t happen because of bad luck. There is a reason. There are only two possibilities as I see it. Lack of conditioning could cause a problem like that but poor coaching is more probable.

If the team is starting the game with good game plans on both offense and defense but the opposing coaches figure out those game plans at halftime and implement changes that the Viking coaching staff doesn’t respond to properly we would be seeing exactly what we are seeing.

No credible deep threat. At this point, Jimmy Kleinsasser is the deep threat.

Moss and the #3 pick to get him are gone.
Sidney Rice is gone.
Harvin is not reliable.

In the 2nd half of games, there is nobody to stretch the defense.

3rd down conversions are difficult and deep passes a fantasy.

And they drafted a TE in the 2nd round.

So, in the 2nd half, Offense: Three and out, repeat......land the D is gassed.

No depth. Fire Speilman.

It pleases me to say that you are right. Fire Speilman! Over two year is draft picks have sucked.
Most Vikings fans agree.

Not buying the defense is gassed...the Lions first scored was 11 minutes into the start of the second half...

Poor coaching...bottom line...

Before the season everybody acknowledged the Vikings are less then 6 win team because of player personnel. That's not coaching that's drafting and signing which means the GM sucks. Also Speilman hired the coaches.

Still makes zero sense if the player personnel can only play one half of solid football then fall apart every second half...coaching is an issue as well...

Heck, might as well rotate QB's. One for the first half & one for the second. Ponder & Webb, though.

There is nobody for depth.
Nobody to "spell" anyone.

No sure-handed 3rd down Cris Carter type.

Christ, AP had 5 carries in the 2nd half and Percy was all bulemic on the sidelines..........

So I guess during half time Frasier has the entire team out in the parking lot running wind sprints to celebrate the 20 point leads...that is why they are "worn out" within the first 5 minutes of the 3rd qtr...

Camarillo is sure-handed. Trouble is, McNabb isn't very accurate.

Shanahan was right! Frasier is playing McWashed-up so he can get a high draft choice, help the O/L. Either that or he is stupid!!

I wish I could have been in the meeting when the discussion on signing only #2 and #3 WR's was going on...would have been fun to listen to...

Why isnt AP being utilized more in receiving...8 rec/46 yards through 3 games...

Don't say we didn't warn you Queens fans. How many more has been, washed up QB's are you gonna bring in? Pounder was a desperation pick cuz qb's were flying off the board. Pounder is 3rd-4th round talent. This team NEVER addresses needs. Look at the circus Gramps Favre caused. What was Chilly thinking when he brought in Moss for a 3rd rd pick? This team has been a laughing stock even before the Hershel Walker trade. As a Packas fan, I love every min of it. We build our team thru the draft. When someone gets hurt, younger guys step up and do the job, aka 2010 championship season. We don't go and sign 40yr old washed up players like the 'Queens do. Get used to it ViQueen nation cuz this is as good as it'll ever get. Wait.......go Lynx! Haha!

Ok...I'm sure you weren't saying that when we were on our way to the superbowl with Farve. 2 years ago was a different situation then today is. We had veterans that were going to retire and it seemed that all we needed was a quarterback to make it all the way. This year we should be in a rebuilding mode at Quarterback, Secondary, and offensive line. Instead we have Mcnabb, cut Mckinny, and haven't done anything to speak of on the DB side. I say take out Mcnabb, give Ponder a shot. Who cares at this point, we are not going to the playoffs and certanily not to the superbowl. Get the guy some experience.

I've been telling you that since May. Pretty soon McDivots will take his anger out on the fans in the first two rows with his "errant" overthrows

When were you on the way to the Superbowl with Favre? Its because of Favre you didn't get there
