Is Tim Tebow gay?

I read an interview with Tebow last year where he stated he was dating girls due to his "morals" yet the Bible doesn't insist on a man to be dateless in order to have good morals.

I wouldn't have started this thread but Tebow asked for it by aligning himself with Focus on the Family with that SuperBowl ad.

Sure, we've heard of his "girlfriends" but give me a break. If Tebow had a real girlfriend we'd know about it and if ANYONE was a superstar in the sport's world and was straight he'd have a girlfriend.

Now of course some of you uneducated homophobes will give the knee-jerk reaction but face facts or offer up some proof. I heard he was living with his boyfriend in Gainesville...

Tim's college room mate was Riley Cooper, wide receiver and baseball player. Now I know it might be difficult for some people to imagine two guys living together are not gay but, those who have attended college know this is a common part of college life and totally normal. Don't get all excited about what those two hunky guys might be doing behind closed doors, much as you might fantasize.

Sorry but Tebow isn't in my fantasies. I know this might be hard for you to fathom but some guys are gay and two guys who are living together and who aren't dating women might be dating each other.

I didn't know who Tim Tebow was until tonight after watching him on the Daily Show. Right away I listened to him talk and I was like this guy is gay. Then I learned he was a 23 y/o football player and I thought hmmm could he be. He's Christian, never had a girlfriend, talks like he's gay and I'm never wrong about my gaydar. This forum is the most absurd and absolutely ridiculous thing I have ever seen. I am 26 yrs old and a born again Christian just like Tim Tebow. We as Christians take relationships very seriously. Its not a adolescent game of cat and mouse at a local bar every friday night. I obviously do not know Tim Tebow but the promise to our wives are the same because we love the same God and our promise to be loyal and 100 percent faithful to our wives is one of the most important parts of our lives.(yes even more important than being a starting quarterback for yes you guessed it...my favorite team the Denver Broncos.) My wife was and still is the love of my life and even before I met her I stayed pure for her. Even though I did not even know her at the time I knew that when God wanted me to meet her I could know SHE would be my closest companion and best friend for the rest of my life. I also had peace in my heart knowing I could look her in the eye and say I have stayed pure my entire life for you. Just because you "liberals" stamp the homosexual card on Tim doesnt change a single thing. Hes not dating simply because God hasnt "made the match yet" GO GET HER TIM!!!

You're totally right. I grew up in a christian school where 32 of us were in my graduating class. Out of the 32, 29 were still virgins! But you know what? Those religous guys that were virgins were all married with kids by the time they were 21, some right after high school to their high school sweethearts. That's what straight devout christian men do. If they save thierselves for marrage, they get married young so that they can get some pussy. Because religous or not all straight men need to start getting pussy by the time they're 21. Tebow apparently doesn't and needs to cloak himself in the religion shield for protection.

Guys, I gotta tell you. My gaydar is fairly poor. And I know southern boys often talk in a fey manner...(that's the most confusing thing for many northerners, guys in the south ALL sound a little fey, which I think is very sweet, by the way)! But, there is something about him that just seems like he's trying too hard to explain his lack of a female companion. But then again --in his favor-- I've gotta say that it's just too easy for a famous sports figure to have a beard accompany him around town, etc. I mean, what would that take? Just about nothing. Can't believe I'm even wasting my time replying to this, but here goes....If you were not raised in a Christian home(and I mean people that don't just talk the talk)you have no idea how committed to staying pure people can be. Tim Tebow has said he does not allow himself to be put in a situation where he is tempted(i.e. being alone with someone of the opposite sex) which is VERY WISE for anyone who is trying to stay pure.
