Tim Tebow: Lack of Interest Proves it's Time to Change Positions

Feb 1, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: BleacherReport

It's been a tumultuous season for Tim Tebow - and with a lack of interest from teams for 2013 - it may be time the controversial quarterback made a change.

<quoted text>Opening one's mouth too wide leaves one more prone to one day finding his own foot firmly planted inside of it. In my 50 plus years of closely following sports, I have seen my share of flash in the pan overnight successes quickly flame out into obscurity while I have seen others initially rejected as failures eventually succeed in sports. There are NFL Hall of Famers who were previously cut by another team before they established themselves as star players. Do the names Johnny Unitas, Len Dawson and Don Maynard ring a bell? I am not counting on Tebow to be a Hall of Famer, but it is also too early to write him off completely.
Haha, fair enough and you're absolutely right that just because one fails in one place they can't succeed in another but you named 2 players who could actually throw and one who wasn't a QB but could actually play his chosen position. Point is, all 3 deserved another chance somewhere else. TT's had that. Failed to improve and is staring NFL exodus in the face.

Your problem is you choose not to see TT's massive flaws, shortcomings and total ineptitude as a pro QB but instead choose to see him as a decent "christian" person who deserves a chance again and again and again and you blame everyone else instead of the one who truly deserves the blame. Get off your fence already and stand up for the one you're afraid to proclaim your devotion to Catman. We all know you're a tebowmaniac, come out and make it official.

Correct but you purposefully overlook the Jets' biggest issue/distraction that brings in issues non football related and his name is Tim Tebow.

The man polarizes the nation and a locker room.

The Jets problems in the locker room have little to do with Tebow and the locker room problems existed long before Tebow arrived. Get rid of Tebow and the problems will still persist. Perhaps they need to clean house of the malcontents.

I do want to revise what I said in an earlier post about Tebow's continued presence on the Jets indicating that they seill had plans for him. My understanding is that he is being kept on the roster in hopes of being able to be traded for a a draft choice or two. Getting away from the Jets would be the best thing that ever happened to Tebow.

Listen tim teboop stands on his morels and faith instead of self preservation and championship caliber play. The fact he has such strong morels is why I have no respect for him. Maybe if he spent less time preaching and profiling he could learn how to play football. If you cant beat mark sanchez for qb spot I would suggest jumping in east river. Mark Sanchez is soo bad he couldnt hit bill cosbey in the nose with a football from 3 feet away.

Having moral values is certainly no vice. If more people had moral values, think about how much we coould save on law enforcement, court systems, and prisons. Reggie White had moral values and it didn't hinder him any on the field. Tom Landry had moral values and is recognized as one of the all time great NFL coaches. There have been many successful NFL players who have also been very wonderful human beings. And A player doesn't have to be dirty to be tough. Nearly all of the most famous devastating hits in NFL history have been good clean hits such as Lawrence Taylor on Joe Theismann and Chuck Bednarik on Frank Gifford.

Boring..... If he was a productive player on a winning team then start preaching. You cant preach from the bottom. Nobody cares whst the players think of if they can think. Good players actions speak louder than words from the bench of a loser team.

This is a textbook red herring to the discussion at hand which was about whether or not a player can be a good performer and have good character at the same time which I have clearly shown has happened in the past.

Once again Catman, you keep naming players that while they had morals and values they put in 100% of themselves into their job and became some of the best players to play and didn't use their faith to gain them anything.

If TT put as much into being a QB as he does with his self promotion and trying to be the nice guy he might actually be good.

You have only shown how ignorant an unexperienced you are. All the people you named had deep dark grimy secrets. Stuff that would make suits like you squirm. The people that seem really nice are just better at hidding their issues. Some are not good at hidding like lawrence taylor on a coke rapage sleeping with teenage prostitutes. Basically nobody is going to hold a news conference and admit they grimy dark secrets. If we knew what they did career over or worse. Dont believe everything you see on tv. Even dan marino has estranged children popping up. People are filthy animals, even the "nice" ones with "good character".

Where has Tebow ever acted like a stuffed shirt. He has shared his beliefs and is promoting what savior he believes in much more than himself personally.

Nobody is perfect, but there are people out there who are making a conscious attempt to be a decent human being. Why are you so offended at the thought that not everybody subscribes to the dog eat dog philosophy?

TT is a conman pure and simple. All he's doing is playing the other side of the coin because at the end of the day his actual skills fall way short of what the NFL expects out of a QB.

Good players to great players, they don't need an angle their game and skills speak for themselves. As I've said a million times before, if TT was so concerned with doing his gods work why in the hell is he playing football? A modern day gladiator sport that glorifies violence, has half naked cheerleaders rooting people on and makes billions of dollars in the process while serving massive quantities of alcohol at every game and where TT plays no less. TT doesn't seem to have a problem turning a blind eye to all that while holding out his hand for that paycheck does he? I personally have no issues with it, to each their own but he proclaims he's a true believer who walks with "Him". Yea Catman, that's exactly what Jesus would do.

TT is the ultimate hypocrite.

No, it's purely common sense. If a person says they're one way but their actions contradict all the bull they spew? Don't come down on me and the millions of others who can see TT for the fraudulent person he is. Take a look in the mirror glasshouse and try to be more observant and try not to get swept away by posers and in TT's case false prophets so easily.

You assume too much as in making an ASSofUandME about things you have little understanding about. I am not nearly as religious as I used to be, but I still haven't forgotten how real Christianity vs. the fake version that is so prevalent today. Tebow seems like a humble man who is trying to make Jesus more important than hinmself in his life. Most "Christians" I have known put there egos, money politics, and m,any other things ahead of Jesus. Being that you have know only what the media has revealed about their spin on Tim Tebow and that you have yet to produce any credentials that qualify you to come up with any final determinations makes your whole post sound very suspect.

Offseason workout regimen for teball-licker will be bench squats. He should be throwing passes to moving targets
