I know that was tongue in cheek.
I thought the Tebow lovers might recognize how they appear to others. That probably won't work, will it?

The way that John Elway and John Fox have transformed the Broncos and are using Tebow is nothing less than brilliant. Executive of the Year and Coach of the Year candidates for sure!

If you look at Tebow's stats and John's first year stats, Tebow's are better by far but I assure you John is not happy with Tebow as the long term solution. If Tebow can improve his accuracy, I say he'll be a force.

If Tebow works as hard as he says he could change his throwing motion and get rid of the ball faster which would improve accuracy

Why wouldn't Elway be happy with Tebow as the long term solution? I see a QB that has helped his team win and appears to be improving in the passing game. Does Elway see something else? Just because Elway's around Tebow all the time, sees everything Tebow does, and was a fomer QB himself, doesn't make Elway more of an authority than me. Or does it?

He's all but stated it AND he is the player development guy in Denver. What he says goes.

Shouldn't you worry about what Elway has actually said instead of what "he's all but stated"? And isn't what Elway has done more important than what people imagine his words mean? Elway made Tebow the starter. Elway fired the players that weren't on board with that decision. Elway hired the coach that has changed the entire offense to suit Tebow's skills. Do you believe that was done without Elway's knowledge and support? EVERY QB has to develop and improve. Tebow is no exception. The areas where Tebow needs to improve are no secret to anybody. Should Elway act like he's stupid or blind? In the end, Tebow is the same as every QB to ever play in the league. His own performance will dictate his career. Even if Tebow doesn't stay with the Broncos, he will forever owe Elway for the opportunity and support that Elway has given him.

Thanks for your take on that interview. However, I actually heard the whole thing. I'm obviously not going to get you to believe what Elway has done. You obviously will only believe what you want to believe or what the media tells you to believe. Never mind that it makes zero sense for the Bronco President to want Bronco failure or to make Tebow the starting QB and change the entire offense for him if he has no hope that he will succeed.

BTW by "the media" I mean Skip Bayless and the rabid Tebow lunatics. No reputable sports journalist is saying the crazy stuff.

What a year.
19 million dollars and counting.
I will say I was wrong...didn't think Manning would do quite as well as he did. I knew he would do OK but he actually performed up to his old level...which evidently kinda sucks when it really counts. 2 fumbles (one for a turnover) and 2 int (one to lose the game). Yikes...and this is his norm in post-season play. Hope you guys in Denver love the normal season games. Than MAY be all you get to enjoy for 100 MILLION DOLLARS!!! Ha
It was fun to watch this season in a different way. I love how everybody sucks manning's chubby saying, for example, how the win against the Chargers would be THE WIN that everybody would remember forever. "The comeback of ALL COMEBACKS" sure to be etched permanently into the minds of all Bronco lovers forever and ever amen. Holy crap, the chargers turned the ball over like 6 times in that game. The idea that this game will ever be thought of as anything but a JOKE is THE DUMBEST SUGGESTION in the history of sports analysis. I can still hear the slobberings of all the ESPN analysts that where kneeling in front of manning after that game.
Oh...how about the quote by bucktooth Smellway himself, "There are Tebow fans and there are Bronco fans...". Ha....really. In fact, I think there are football fans...people who love a great game, who love a great football player that can win against the odds, who love when a game tells a great suspenseful story that ends in the win...these are TRUE football fans. This is what makes football fun to watch. Then there are fans of throwing motion and/or any stat except for the most important stat...WINS! In other words, these are losers.
Let me break it down:
LOSERS = NOT TRUE FOOTBALL FANS = fans of anything except the final score such as throwing motions etc!!!
WINNERS = TRUE FOOTBALL FANS = fans of the final score of an exciting game and fans of players that can somehow against the odds recreate these wins again and again.
However, the very best part of this whole sorted saga occurred after this "surprising loss" when the brigade of manning chubby suckers permeated the airways with the "who is to blame?" question. They frantically repeatedly showed replays of the denver defensive player who "allowed the tying score with 30 seconds left". Surely this young defensive player is to blame. They couldn't blame manning because they have had his chubby down their throat all season...even though this IS HOW HE CHOKES EVERY SEASON...just ask a Colts fan. Seriously. Somebody forgot that little fact...especially when it is cold.
The thing that is really great about this is that taking this pot shot at the young defensive player, when manning's interception in overtime was the real losing play, does more to damage the locker room dynamic than these morons can possibly imagine. Seriously, once the other players finally understand that nobody is ever going to hold Manning responsible, even if he truly is the one to lose the game, and they are going to be the fall guys, they will not rally around him anymore or try to make plays for him. Simple human nature. Next year will be fun to watch.
Get out your wallets. Another 19 million is coming due!!!
I will watch with bated breath as the broncos again pummel the hapless chargers. I will drink some beer and whoop it up. What a riot. Truly worth 19 million dollars.
Peace

My job transfered me to denver in '96. I can honestly say I had 11yrs of torture during the NFL seasons, having to live with the biggest morons I've ever encountered. I escaped in 2005, and I say THANK GOD! The donkies got just what they deserved last night, as well as the spanking they took last year. They are the scum of the NFL, and elway is a wet brained idiot!

I am a Huge Bronco Fan and the fact that the game went into overtime was the Joke. As far as Manning's interception, yes it was his fault but, the pick 6 in the first quarter was complete Crap. When your playing with a Back up running back and he goes down and the next guy up is either 5-10 180 lbs and can't block Suggs or only been on the Team for 5 weeks and doesn't get the Reps. There is No question that errant throw was bad timing but, when the protections break down and your 36 and its -3 degrees outside sure it's gonna happen.

NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB teams should refuse to play in denver. The air is so thin, and I don't know how the players adjust to it. Denver should not have any professional teams....every team that plays there is at an extreme disadvantage.

The only thing worse than an idiot denver fan is a denver fan who is stoned.....no be a good little boy and smoke your joint.

So, The Ravens had a disadvantage? The only team that has a disadvantage is the Steelers. Ryan Clark can not play in Denver.

It is astounding the degree to which the Bronchos suck.

The Bronchos have attained a level of suck like no other team in the NFL. They suck.
