It is going to be a blast watching the Patriots backfield this season, with Ridley,Vereen, and Blount who reminds me of Sam Bam Cunningham. With the loss of players to pass to the Pats might need alot of help from the backfield.

The backfield definitely showed that they are up for the challenge.

Relax guys it's pre-season. The time when coaches work on matchups to see if a guy can really play and college kids show enough improvement to warrant hanging on to. Preseason means absolutely nothing. It's just a warm up for the vets and a chance r the redline guys to prove their worth.
Even the first few games of the season are often a time when teams are still gearing up to seasonal standards. Except the Gants, they start late, hope to finish and save all their best stuff for the playoffs. If only they make it that far.

True, but you've got to admit, first string vs first string, that backfield looked pretty damn strong. Did Brady even throw a pass on the first TD drive ?

Pats did more than enough to get your hopes up, but only time will tell if they can perform when they meet the better defensive teams. To much hopefulness early leads to later despair. Guard your hearts. Better to take a wait and see look.
