Will NFLers ever learn? Don't sign long-term deals. You're gonna complain about it after year 2 anyways. It's all about the money, never about the team. I guess 13mil isn't enough for Mr. Jones. To think, I used to respect you back at UVA.

Too bad they are not happy, well I was not happy with their season last year. The Jets missed the playoffs with them last year, they can miss the playoffs this time without them. Let them work for a living.

If the NFL didn't sign multi-year deals then every player whose stats went up in the past year or made an alll anything team would be looking to renogiate evry spring. the problem is when it became acceptable for a player under contract to hold out when he wants more based on ONE top year. If NFL teams went the other way and tried to cut a players salary when he has a sub par year the NFL union would go ballistic.

Jones signed a contract where he got most of his money the first 3 years....must be tough getting by on $900,000 this year.

they probably think the new coach will put pressure on Tanns to sign them. won't happen

The whole renegotiate concept seems to be lost on me. It seems to me if I sign a contract for 3 years I am legally bound by that contract yet in sports the contract means nothing

Trade Jones to the Browns for Edwards! Give Leon a bump in salary and allow Green to flurish and a little Woodhead on the side!
