This will NOT be the end of this story! Give it time. I'll give him another 9-12 months before he gets that "ITCH" again. If he doesn't, GOOD RIDDANCE!

I am so sick of these athletes retiring and coming back and retiring again. Just go away already!!!! They act like someone actually cares about this stuff.

Favre, like so many other star athletes, failed to see the value in quitting on top. All along, he just couldn't give up the limelight. He came to run the show in Green Bay. No coach stood up to him. He showed himself to be selfish, not team oriented when he refused to rest his injured thumb several seasons ago so he could keep his record consecutive games started streak alive, even if he threw a ton of interceptions because of it! Then, when Packer Mgt ushered him out two seasons ago because he couldn't see the forest for the trees, he decided he wanted to return just to show them up. Nice try, Brett, but you sullied yourself and your reputation/records with selfishness and an unrealistic ego.

His history of vacillating will keep this in the news as the new season approaches because he could change his mind "for the good of the team." Yeah, right!

Pete Sampras has far more class and brains than Brett, and no drug problem in his past to boot! If Brett doesn't go back on this 'decision,' I'll have the memory this story reports of him throwing "an NFL-worst 22 interceptions, including nine picks during the last five weeks of the season.!!!"

The bus left without you, Brett. Finally .. FINALLY you figured it out ... I think!

As a Dolfan, I would sincerely like to thank Mr. Favre for his Jets misadventure. Otherwise, the Dolphins wouldn't have received the services of Pennington or won the AFC East Title. Thanks Brett!!!
