Raiders Organization, Fans Are No Longer Committed to Excellence

Does anyone really equate that phrase with the Oakland Raiders anymore? Hasn't it become more of a punchline than a mission statement? Unfortunately, the Raiders have usurped that phrase, even if it is false advertising, making it impossible for any other team to use it.

It seems like in Al Davis's last days, we were committed to insanity. Constant coaching changes, and blown draft picks. Even when things finally started looking up with Tom Cable, he was let go and Hue Jackson was okay and I think was worth giving another year or two to, but since none of the players seemed to care that he was gone, that had to mean something.

Looks like "The Great Depression of RaiderNation" is going about like the one for the United States did and Mark Davis has brought in Reggie McKenzie to be our FDR and give us a new deal. NO MORE SCHOLARSHIPS!!!!!!!! Just Win Baby!!!!!!!!!!

I find it hard to believe, but it seems like in Al Davis's last days, for the coaches it was "Win the Superbowl or get out!" Then comes McKenzie and wants "His own guy for head coach."

It seems like Mark Davis is just signing the paychecks and Reggie McKenzie will be making the football moves in accordinance with the coach. It's just a long boring offseason...It's not like we have the draft to look forward to since we don't have any picks until round 5 as of now and compensary picks may only be as early as round 3.

wheather or not a lot of fans may not be commited to the excellence of the RAIDERS, we are just RAIDER fans waiting to see what happens without al davis. it seems as though mark davis made a move that his father would have done. maybe those were some of his dads last words to maybe think of hiring reggie makezie as a GM. im sure al davis would have probably prefered john madden as (gm) but j madden probably felt he was too old and needed to retire from football. never the less, reggie mckenzie is now the gm and in control of things. hiring dennis allen was his first move to start a-new. not so bad, the problem is we are left with no answers! the leader died (rest in peace), there was still "commitment to excellence" and "just win baby" in our hearts when hue jackson was still around. he was fired and all of the sudden, there was silence. well, we're not dead yet. we still have most of the players that played last year. most players are now healthy and ready to roll! there will be some players comming and going but i believe most will stay. the (O) is pretty much intact and i'm content that al saunders is staying to work with gregg knapp. the (D) needs work. but thats what dennis allen is here for. to fix the (D). though he say's he will not be in full control of the (D) he will put his two cents in. dennis allen will use his military style of attitude (discipline) with the RAIDERS. i have always felt that is what was needed in coaching with players but there has to be a balance there to where coaches and players respect each other. the only way that is going to happen is with wins. one in a million? hey, we have a chance!
GO RAIDERS of 2012!!!
