I wonder if it upsets the Ravens players as much as it upsets me that the STEELERS have the #1 defense in the NFL!!!

To win this sunday....
The Ravens need to get a decent pass rush from the d-line!
The Ravens defense has to actually TACKLE people!
Flacco has to go deep on first down a few times!
And quit jumping off sides!
I hope the patched up o-line can stop the Eagles outside rushers!
And don't wear those girly man looking black tights!!

Some games seem more important than others. Both Reid and Harbaugh want bragging rights on this one. I'm thinking it's gonna be a tight game. Both teams are going to be playing their hearts out to win for their coaches.

I'm really worried that it may come down to a field goal try at the end. And they send out Stover. If he missed, his career would end with 70,000 people booing.

Giant "fans" are praying Jacobs is okay, after they get thumped out in Arizona they will disappear from this baord until they beat another average team then they will resurface. Ever notice there were no Giant fans until this year? Wonder why. Squeeler fans same way, they lose they dissipate like a smelly fart, they win against the Bung holes and they never shut up-no class slobs all of em.
Ever notice how running backs always wind up getting hurt against the Ravens starting with "I'm going to eat the Ravens" up Mendenhall?

Subtracting the 3 long runs (77,36,22) leaves 69 yds gained by the Giants running game. The long runs represent a major lapse of the Raven's run defense - no excuses. But since the 69 yards represent by far the major number of running plays including stuffing the Giants on a goal line stand, I do not think we should be throwing the Raven's defense under the bus yet.
you cant subtract the 3 runs they gave up 200+ yards, get over it and stop trying to spin it

You have to keep in mind that this a defense without 3 or 4 starters...the Ravens defense has the been consistently one of the best in the league for close to 10 years. Overrated is roethlisberger...overrated is the Cowboys...How many games do you see the ravens defense consistently play bad? I will let that one sink in...they played poorly last week but other than the Indy game, you could probably name only a handful of times when they don't well.
you were doing good til you called big ben overrated, i guess all the records he has broken and the super bowl ring were an accident, nice try mop

Most of those backups play special teams. Having so many on IR dilutes the quality of the special teams or takes away from the offense or defense whose starters now have to double up.

Injuries aren't an excuse but they are one reason why the Ravens special teams are not what they should be.

Health always matter. Teams with the better medical staffs or the better luck usually have an edge. Notice how the Colts and Patriots are a little less perfect these days? Don't tell me that Brady missing doen't matter.

hmmm....is that right? Let's see...are you telling me that Roethlisberger is one the top three QB's in the league? I'll let that one sink in....Think about those "records" he broke. When the bar is so low they are easy to break. The steelers records are not unphantomable. Let's get real...he wasn't the reason they won the super bowl and he certainly isn't the reason they are winning right now. He is a walking injury. How many times has he put his team on his shoulders to get the win. Check that, he done it against the bungles. He my friend is overrated. Check his overall stats. Subpar and certainly nothing to be impressed by. Plain and simple, if his defense doesn't give him a lead going into the fourth quarter, they LOSE. If the running game isn't on cue, they LOSE. He doesn't throw more than 300 passes a year. The guy is a handoff machine plain and simple and they lose more often than not when he has to throw more than 25 times. That my friend is overrated.

Your comment is irrelevant and unsubstaniated. To have an excuse, you have to be complaining about something. Since no onw was comnplaining about anything, your comment is baseless. Next useless comment...

Why?

The Ravens were 5-11 last year. This year they are 6-4 already and have a chance to make the playoffs, have apparently found a keeper QB and a keeper head coach and are seemingly on course for a run of good years. All this with essentially the same roster (except for Flacco) who stank out the place last year.

And a lot of people are having a hard team beating those good teams the Ravens lost to. Harbaugh has gotten about as much as anyone could get from this crew. If you looked at the Giants game it was apparent that the Ravens fall just a little bit short in comparison.

When you sober up try taking a second look at Ravens' situation.

Dude. Don't feed the troll. Yard Bird is an absolute tool. He'll never sober up and he'll never take a second look. Matter of fact, he probably couldn't even spell "look". The guy cleans toilets and takes out the trash at McDougals for Christs' sake.

The IR is a documented fact. Facts are not excuses dude. You being from Elkton...shouldn't you be attending a KKK meeting or something, instead of wasting our time with your uniformed posts?

Yeah, did you see our girl Shandon Jacobs standing in street clothes yesterday at Arizona? Thought she was just getting her ankle retaped during the Raven game?
