How can we move up in next year's draft to get Tim Tebow?

God you get a head of yourself there Charley! He did not play very well on Sunday completing only 52 percent of his passes. He did not win the game for us either. Greg Lewis is the hero of that game. Get off of the Brett is godlike theme here for a bit. He has not proven anything yet except that he is slower than he used to and is still prone to making mistakes. Tarvaris will be just fine as our starter when Brett goes down in flames before the year is out! Take that to the bank.

The way the Vikings offensive line blocks Favre won't make it past October 2009. The way that some of the Vikings receivers catch the ball Favre won't want to come back.

Favre has been a plus thus far but 3 games do not make a season. Give it a rest Charlie.

What a joke of an article. It's week 3 and you're talking about NEXT YEAR?!? Favre spent this offseason in Mississippi throwing to HS kids, and missed training camp. The last time Favre played well through an entire season was 2007 when he worked out vigorously in the offseason with a personal trainer. He didn't do that last year and look what happened towards the end of the year?

And if at the end of the year it's questionable whether or not he'll return, don't think it wont play out into an entire offseason long drama like it has the last 5 years.

Amazing how the bandwagon fills up based on one play. Sounds like the Jets fans last year when they were 8-3, prior to missing the playoffs. The season ends on February 01, 2010, not September 27, 2009.

hey Charley Walters,

i like how you believe that the Packers forced Brett Favre into retirement. Favre has been contemplating retirement for almost five years now. If he wouldn't have exhausted the Packers' patience with his indecision about retirement and knew that he would still be playing to this day, there would have been no need to take Aaron Rodgers, even though at pick #24, was a huge steal. Way to go 'Niners (Alex Smith).

Also where were all these Viking 'fans' last year when they won the division. The Vikings were 32nd in the NFL in revenue. This reminds me when Randall Cunningham came out of retirement to 'rescue' the Vikings until Gary Anderson missed his first kick of the year as they failed to get to the Super Bowl, at home. What happened to the Vikings fan base after Culpepper was traded?

Once again, Viking fans selling out at a chance for glory.

Maybe Minnesota won't blow it this year, like always, haha.

Here's a thought...now that Chad Pennington is most likely lost for the season for Miami, why not offer them Rosenfels...we might get a high draft pick which can be used to package other draft picks to move up and get one of the top quarterbacks coming out next year???

Kecker, I can tell you aren't a huge Favre fan, and that is cool. I am a big Favre fan myself. I just want to say I appreciate your intelligent comments on here. I agree that the O line is pretty god awful, aside from Hutchinson. I think McKinnie is the biggest problem. I happen to think if they blocked better the play action would start to work so well and we would be shredding teams with deep balls after good AP runs.
From what I have seen, even in the pre-season, is that any type of speed rusher seems to have his way with Mckinnie.

Some high draft picks and probably Taylor. That might be asking a bit to much but there are three studs coming out next year provided Bradford's injury is not career threatening.

Garcia got released I wouldn't be surprised if Miami picks him up making this a moot point.

Hey Charlie -- maybe we should draft some solid O-line players capable of good pass protection first, before we blow all those high draft picks to get an expensive new rookie QB who will just end up getting rattled when he's thrown to the dogs? There are very few QBs that will reamin calm and focused as they take that hit that Favre did on the last play Sunday.

If you want to know why, ust look at what's happening to Rodgers over in Green Bay ...

There is no question Green Bay made a mistake. I could list many reasons or potential disasters that will prove that. But it will all come clear on monday night. The quessing will be over and the "poor management of last season" in GB will rear its ugly head one final time. Who is the King of the NFL Jungle..Brett, Brett, Brett.
