I hope we lose to both the giants and bears so the packers miss the playoffs and we move up the draft board.

Actually I think it would be better for Favre to start and play just a little and then let T.J. in because t.j. isn't a whole game kind aguy.

All he cares about is his streak. He'll play even if he really shouldn't, especially since he's already trashed the Vikes' season with his terrible play.

And there it is. We all read it. A Viking 'fan' says he hopes his team LOSES. OMG. Worse fans in the NFL bar none.

Let's see.....Favre expects 100% from his teammates but can delivere only 10% himself, while a healthy QB sits on the bench. Man, the Vikings are as stupid as Favre is egomaniacal!

Winning this year isn't important now, it's all about next year. We need to evaluate players and coaches and help the packers miss the playoffs.

'Winning this year isn't important'. Wow. Tell that to the players sacrificing their health and bodies for your entertainment this Sunday. Might want to stop posting for a bit, loser....

-Jackson has thrown 573 passes in his dark and ugly career
as for completed 339 of them.
That's less than 60 percent.
In other words, two out of every five Vikings receivers cry when the ball is thrown in their general direction but is off target by a foot or ten.
-24:21 TD to INT ratio
-history of curious, in-game decisions that you donít normally see in most quarterbacks that relegates him to a risky player every time he takes a snap
-inacurate and unreliable, oh and inconsistent as well
-unaggresive
-no leadership qualities
-fails under pressure, can't locate the open man, underutilizes his check routes
-tendency to throw off the wrong foot, leads to tipped balls/picks
-stylish jump passes, note stylish not effective
-not PLAYOFF MATERIAL,
'08 vs Eagles playoffs
42.9% completion rate, 164 yards and a INT
-his athleticism isn't valuable if he can't work it the right way
-his strong arm in invaluable if he is inaccurate
-his eyes can only read rudimentary defenses pretty well, like say buffalo
-canít effectively pick up on advance defensive techniques and sets.
-half a decade he still hasn't shown any improvement

That is why Tavaris Jackson is NOT the answer!

I don't think its particularly helpful to debate Brett Favre or Tavaris Jackson. I think its great the Vikings have won 2 games, but, they are still 5-7; they are still chasing the 9-3 Bears and the 8-4 Packers. It is safe to assume that the 10-2 Falcons and the 9-3 Saints WILL make the playoffs. And some one has to come from the NFC East and West respectively. So, there is really only 1 playoff spot up for grabs. Short of a massive let down by the Eagles, Giants, Bears, Packers, Saints, and Bucs (of which, only the Bucs are heading for a free fall right now at 7-5 and losers of 2 straight), I just don't see the Vikings getting there.

And if we assume the Vikings ARE NOT making the playoffs, then the only thing Brett Favre is playing for is the streak, and the only thing Tavaris Jackson would play for is a contract elsewhere in the league given that he is a free-agent at the end of this season. So, really, its take your pick - a guy going to the Hall of Fame versus a guy interviewing for potential QB jobs elsewhere.

Moreover, at 5-7, the Vikings ALSO trail the 6-6 Rams and the 6-6 Seahawks. So, even if the Bears, Giants, Eagles, Packers, Falcons, Bucs, and Saints fall (and technically speaking the Vikings at 5-7 with just 4 games remaining, can't catch Atlanta at 10-2), the Purple still have to leap frog those two teams as well. So, again, debating whose better, TJack or Favre, doesn't make much sense. The better debate is, what are we going to do next season when the Vikings have Joe Webb and nothing else at QB?
