Still learning the offense?? He should know that by now. I would rather hear him say that he is still learning to be a NFL quarterback... Probably just an answer he gave to try to be politically correct....

My problem with Minnesota Vikings is their inability to develop younger QBs. They don't prep future QBs. As for TJ just freeze it. Just hope the door doesn't hit his you know what . When #4 is gone who is gonna take over. ...Nobody. Coach Frazier has his work cut out.

I hope he can learn the system and produce if called soon. Who knows when Favre will go down and TJ could go out with one helmet shot.

Wrong answer Joe....

Are you ready to play? "Hell YES, I am sure I will make a few mistakes but I will relish the opportunity to be out ther with my teammates. Give me the rock"

Now, that is what I want to hear.

I hate this answer. This sounds just like T-Jack when we got him. Timid and intimidated.

Oh great, he's a big athletic dummy.

Timid? No way. Smart? Yes. Does he know the play book? I think he does. Is an absolute rookie with no playing time going to come out and make a bone headed statement, "I can run this team?" If most of us were as good as we think we are, then we could run the team. I think Joe is very honest. If he is called upon to play, I think he will be ready.

Webb's trying for faux modesty. He's trying to be politic and say the right thing. He won't be drawn out on this one, which proves one thing: he's smarter than the reporters who are trying to bait him. That's a good quality in a quarterback. OF COURSE he wants to start! He should get significant playing time the very next time Favre does a stumblebum imitation. Skol Vikings.

I feel Joe Webb WILL have an impact within the next year or 2. Either WITH the Vikings or somewhere else. He is a player! He just needs more time to learn the game at this level.

Keep learning but maybe you ought to start learning the WR position because with Chilly gone I think the team is finally going to go out and draft a real QB prospect.

lordy, Webb is the only QB contracted for the 2011 (lockout) season.

have to draft another (lockout) QB and get a few trades for (lockout) players going.

go (lockouts)!

He probably knows the playbook but has to get used to the speed of the game on Sundays and the only way he can get used to the speed of the game is by playing. Frazier will not lay him because he is on a 6 gam audition. They say T-Jack is awesome in practice but cannot replicate that on Gamedays and i've seen enough jump passes to know that Jackson is a career backup.

btw, it's time to platoon players for the last 6 games. run 'em all, every position. build a new chart on each one.

because the off-(lockout)season will have a lot of work for the new coaching staff to do.

Sorry but J-Webb isn't the answer - there's a reason he was tabbed as a receiver prospect by every other NFL team but the Vikes. It was Childress who thought he could develop into a QB -'nuff said

That was a let down. Was someone holding a Brett Farve gun to his head? He sounds like a stepford wife. Joe, whatever little pill they are giving you...don't take it. You are an NFL quarterback, respond like one. Say what you really mean...not the crap Chilly fed you to keep you quiet on the bench. I believe in you. You have the talent. You are the quarterback, now go get the ball and bust out of that mentality. By the way BS (great initials man), only two questions? That wasn't an interview, that was propaganda. Was it even the "real" Joe Webb. I'm not swayed. Joe Webb is the future of Vikings football, else lose the remainder of the games and grab a pick. I personally believe there will always be a "losing" footnote in the 300 starts record that points the 2010 Vikings out as a patsy. I'm sorry but that's not team play. If BF doesn't score first QTR Sunday, someone else would be driving MY Cadillac.**yawn**
