Sidney is a truly great player who needs to stay on this team, no matter what. Same same re Chad Greenway etc. Go Vikes! Sign Frazier!

The Vikings need to get a deal done with Rice. He has proved time and time again that he's one of the most athletic receivers in the NFL. Whenever a deep ball is thrown, you can almost guarantee Rice is going to come down with it. There was a deep ball thrown to Rice last week to Rice that was intercepted, but it was extremely overthrown.

Re-sign Rice and Greenway immediately, think about a small contract for Leber, Jackson, and P Williams, let Edwards walk (as he only feasts off the other players on the line anyway), cut Berrian, M Williams, and Herrera. Sign Frazier to remain your head coach. Lastly, DRAFT A QUARTERBACK!

As far as I'm concerned, Rice's contract-motivated reluctance to have the hip operated on in the offseason (as well as the Viking medical staff not pushing him to do so) is the single biggest reason this season was such as incredible bust. The window of opportunity hasn't just closed, it has slammed shut. With Rice the team probably starts out 2-0 rather than 0-2 with a huge momentum swing, Sapp doesn't get traded, the whole Moss mess never happens and Favre's last season in Purple isn't a complete waste. Too little, too late Sidney - thanks for nothing.

Agreed!

Nice to see at lest ONE other person gets it.

And don't forget -- the lost 3rd round pick for Moss that the team would still have had it not been for Rice.

Silver Toad sees this correctly for what it is. This season of adversity has exposed the deadwood underachievers. The Pats release big name players every year but seem to remain strong or get stronger with new players. Sentimentality is for suckers. Of the 22 core starters, only 14-15 are worthy of keeping their positions. Those players have a bright future for years to come if management sees the light.

Definitely keep Sidney around whatever it takes. He can make any quarterback look good with his desire to get to the catch. Now if some others on board would take notice and get his fever we could be dangerous!
